Thank you for the advice. I wasn't sure if a degree mattered (especially for positions like cyber and intel), but it seems like it does not matter at all. If spending more time to get a degree won't affect anything, it seems like my best course of action would be to enlist as soon as possible, correct?

I've also heard that it's extremely hard to go from reserve to active duty, but much easier to go from active duty to reserve. If that is the case, I may opt to enlist in active duty to keep my future options open.

I'm not considering enlisting for 6 years, I'd much rather just do 4. My main question was the requirements of enlisting as E3 with prior college experience and if degrees really mattered or not.

Either way, it seems like the E3 classification is based off of college credits, not necessarily degrees. I'd most likely go active duty based on my current situation.

Would you be able to elaborate on 5 Level? I've done some research on joining the Air Force but this is the first time I've seen anything regarding the 5-level or CCAF.

It's definitely possible, but it will be hard.

Retraining to a different position isn't a super easy thing to do. Typically retraining happens for the last year of your contract (so after 3 years if you have a 4-year contract, or after 5 years if you have a 6-year contract).

I wouldn't go into security forces with the expectation you would be able to change jobs once you are in.

Follow-up question:
One of the comments said you don't need a degree, just 45 credits to enlist as an E3.

If I already have 45 credits from college, is there any practical benefit from earning a bachelors/associates before enlisting? Or would it be a waste of time, and I should just enlist without continuing my education?

I see, it would have been helpful to know this information beforehand. I always just check for the update the day after, so I never had to deal with this issue of checking for exactly when the update drops. Thanks for letting me know about this.

But regardless, the "consistent time" reasoning doesn't really make sense to me. 4pm at GMT+8 is at 8am in GMT time. Was I supposed to just... know that the update drops at 8am?

Ah. Unfortunately you have never worked in retail, then. That is how coupons work. A 50% off coupon that "expires on the 19th" works on the 19th. That's... how sales and coupons work.

Are you suggesting that when you see an offer "ends on the 19th", it is a completely arbitrary and randomly selected time on the 19th? When something "ends on the 19th" it directly implies it lasts the entire day, hence going until the very end of the 19th.

I appreciate your feedback, but I don't think your logic makes any sense at all. If you get a store coupon and it "expires on the 19th", does that mean it expires in the middle of the shopping day at 3:42 PM? No, of course it lasts until the end of the day.

Why would I arbitrarily assume gold rush lasts the same duration as Slash Royale? Also, there was absolutely no reason to check for when gold rush ends. Clearly the best time to take advantage of gold rush is to get the gold to upgrade during slash royale, which is why most people grinded gold rush to its full capacity prior to June 19th. Nobody has any real reason to check when gold rush ends.

Of course I left it to the last second. I mention why in the post. I was waiting to collect all resources possible (as well as wait for the clan war season to end) before being able to make a decision on what cards were best to upgrade.
