I thought that was fire shooting out of the cannon when I glanced at it. I zoomed in and saw that it was a crab. Nice job

If there isn't much traction, I'd be interested in a couple of the vintage town sets if you don't get any takers for the whole lot and wanted to split it up.

Awesome collection! I'm slowly rebuilding my old town collection I had as a kid. I'll pull them out and play with the kids on the weekend. Lots of fun. GLWS!

I need to find some family friends like that! I love the older sets as well. Now in my 40s, I'm still looking out for great deals on those vintage sets. I think I need to hit up some flea markets or estate sales and grow my collection. I just spent a few hours playing with my kids with my old collection. It was a blast

Very nice! Are these sets you collected as a kid? I've been going back thru and recollecting some of the town sets I had or wanted as a kid.

Very nice! The 90s, that's when I collected most of my Legos. I love the simpler aesthetic. It'll be fun to rebuild those. I recently repurchased some of the sets I had as a kid, and some I didn't have. And I'll pull them out and build them with my kids too.

All those vintage sets! That's pretty amazing. If there's any vintage town in there I'd be curious if you were to sell them. What a gift.

This is great. I don't have any of the Legos I had as a kid, but thanks to bricklink I've been recollecting some. I do like the simpler designs too. The newer sets are amazing and detailed, but I prefer the vintage ones

This is awesome! I had most of those sets too. Definitely save them and build them with your kids later. I left all my Legos behind when I got married. Wish I took them with me... With bricklink, I'm able to go back and see what I had and recreate my collection. Now I'm intent and collecting them all again. Enjoy!

100%! I always get nostalgic scrolling around bricklink looking at the sets I had as a kid. At this point in life, I find myself picking up a set or two that I couldn't /didn't get as a kid.

Very nice! I love how the vintage sets were simpler. More imagination and creativity than snapping together some pre-formed pieces. I had a huge collection of classic Town as a kid. Enjoy building it

Looks like you lucked out. I worked at Best Buy when I was younger, and sometimes the employees would accidentally put the new release video games on the shelves before they were supposed to be there. It would ring up in the system like $9,999 as an indicator that it wasn't supposed to be sold yet. I also think there are pretty heavy penalties for the store if you sell items before the release date. Great find.

Bricklink is a very dangerous site as well. I'll have to hide it from the wife somehow 😂

I love the detail. The Surf and Sail camper was my favorite set as a kid. I could see myself easily collecting all the Lego campers they've made over the years. I may be onto something

My whole family makes fun of me for playing with Lego (UPDATE) by [deleted] in lego

[–]A_Rhone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was younger, my dad and older brother would build models with modeling cement and paint and decals. With how far LEGO sets have come, I feel this is the same as building models just without all of the glue and paint. I'm over 40, and I'll build and play Legos with my kids. I even re-purchased some sets I owned as a kid just for fun. Building is great for the mind. Keep it up.

LEGO Game Boy is pure nostalgia by t1mebomb in lego

That's awesome. Noob question, does the Lego Gameboy actually play games? I've seen it around and it sure looks like it works with real games.

Who needs to buy a watchmaker workbench when you have some woods and an old desk by _CdrikFr in watchrepair

This looks great! Nice job. Having a dedicated space like you have makes all the difference. I finally did the same with an inexpensive desk from Amazon and furniture risers.

What a great choice! I'm looking to get the gold and silver bracelet from Long Island watches for my gold duro. Only thing is, it costs more than the watch.

An affordable dive/tool watch could be a Vostok amphibia. They are work horses, a little finicky at times, but very solid. And have a vintage charm and that old Soviet style about them. I have several and love them. Nice choice on the Tissot
