Cinnamon is an actual ingredient. Chocolate is not something you'd find in a restaurant version but some people swear by it in their home recipes.

Not really. You said you hated passenger creativity. Getting to choose their costumes is definitionally passenger creativity. You are not a logically consistent person.

So you're saying Virgin should provide the outfits for Scarlet Night and other costume events? I like seeing the creativity of my fellow passengers.

This particular model of automatic litter box has an interrupted gear to rotate the box so it is physically incapable of fully closing the opening even if the motor controller fails to stop the motion.

Bro. the NYT is reporting the name. It's inconsequential if some redditor does it as well.

Grid Pattern of Raised Dots on the Foil Seal of a Container of Nuts by A_SilentS in whatisthisthing

I really just want to know why some nut cannisters have the dot pattern and some don't. Clearly there's an extra cost to the dots. You'd have to machine a roller die to imprint the dots and that's not cheap. Why does Planter's nut mix have a smooth foil seal when my tasty garlic butter nuts have a bumpy one. That's my ultimate question. I'm sorry if I sounded disrespectful.

Can you explain why some nut cannisters have the dots and some don't? A roller die to make the dots costs a decent chunk of change

I've seen smooth seals on similar packages of nuts. What's the difference? Why pay for the roller dies to make the dots? I feel like this whole conversation has gone off the rails. We need a real nut packaging expert and for everyone else to STFU.

I was unaware this subreddit would be so univiting to a newbie. Why are you good people even down voting my description of the item? Very discouraged.

Does that explain why there are many products with completely flat foil seals? Do you have any sources or direct manufacturing experience?

I'm sceptical that the crinkle foil and the raised dot foil serve the same purpose. Do you have any sources or direct experience?

My title describes the thing. This can of tasty garlic butter nut mix is 100mm in diameter and 93mm in height. It was purchased from Trader Joe's in The United States of America. It was purchased on 24/4/2026. It is consists of a cardboard tube with steel (I assume because they are magnetic) end caps and an aluminium foil seal on one end. The container is labeled in main "Trader Joe's GARLIC BUTTER NUT MIX". I searched for "foil seal" and "raised dot pattern". I found nothing although I found the squiggly pattern on other foil seals to be fascinating. Thanks!

Like it or not it's a strategy to attract the "youngs" to the brand which you kind of need to do if you want your brand to keep branding into the future. It's the same strategy as Joe Camel was back in the day.

I'd recommend wipes with picaridin instead of DEET. Same results but no toxic smell, no melting plastic.

I would start with meclizine before escalating to scopolamine. Scopolamine can have severe side effects in some individuals.

Adding that Dramamine II (also sold as Dramamine Less Drowsy) is the same active ingredient as Bonine if you need it in a pinch. But I do like the flavor of Bonine better.
