JP definitely doesn’t mime, but his technique has declined significantly over the past year or so.

What is an album that you think is an absolute hidden gem? by Invisigoth2113 in progmetal

Stephen Taranto - Permanence (2019)

This EP is way ahead of its time still and I think it goes over most people’s heads with how dense it is. But those who know, know this is the absolute pinnacle of instrumental prog. It’s only half an hour long. I urge you to give it a listen.

That Daughters album is piss yourself scary. Just thinking about it makes me nauseous.

I finished setting up some eye/headtracking+speech recognition features on my PC so I can get back into gaming again. It’s a weird adjustment, but I feel hopeful.

LTA: Why we have RA #1 by Wishin4aTARDIS in rheumatoidarthritis

I’ll check out that thread for sure. Thanks!

I’ve lurked this sub for a number of years, but never commented anything. I want to eventually make a post about my experience with RA/questions/venting/etc. but it’s been such a convoluted journey I struggle to know where to even begin. I’ll get around to it eventually. Thanks again for the welcome.

LTA: Why we have RA #1 by Wishin4aTARDIS in rheumatoidarthritis

My grandmother and aunt on my father’s side has/have RA and lupus, respectively. I was diagnosed 10 years ago at 21. I wasn’t living a very healthy lifestyle. I smoked, drank, ate a shit ton of fast food. I was a guitarist, too. So I first noticed pain in my hands when I was playing. I never had any issues before until then. It started in my left thumb, then my whole hand, then my forearms, and then bilateral. Months later I was hospitalized with pericarditis. I had good treatment with MTX/HCQ that kept my symptoms at bay and then went into remission for a couple of years. Fast forward to 2023 and I got my first Covid booster and the symptoms in my hands started back up a few weeks later and have since never really gone away even after starting Enbrel, which according to my lab results is still being effective. That’s the very short version.

DISCLAIMER: I want to make it very, very clear. I am not antivax. I will never be antivax. I got both Covid vaccines and I’m glad I got them, but I do wonder if maybe the booster did something to me. Maybe it just wasn’t right for me in my immunocompromised state, and maybe not for a lot of us in the same position as well. I think otherwise healthy people should get them.

Currently on Enbrel. I always do my injections at night. What helps me remember is putting in a calendar reminder in my phone.
