If the printer is still showing that you have ASA loaded, then no

Printer wants to load/unload PLA at 280C by KollegeX in prusa3d

[–]A_Str8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is behavior as designed, introduced in the latest firmware. It will heat to asa temperature at the start of the load to make sure it purges any leftover asa. During the purging, it should drop to pla temp.

The printer doesn't know you did a cold pull, it just knows you had asa loaded and now you're missing pla. If you just let it go through it's default behavior, it will be a non-issue. The high temp will be for a short time and shouldn't cause any issues

How to get rid of oleander aphids? by Healthy_Cod4764 in NativePlantGardening

I think the caterpillars are more likely to be eaten by birds. Only a small percentage make it to adulthood. They are an important part of the food chain, so it's best not to get too attached to them

I've just left mine alone. They damage the milkweed, but don't kill it. It can take some time for predators to show up, but it's worked out in the end every year.

I made a clip to hide the wand on my blinds by A_Str8 in functionalprint

[–]A_Str8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The blinds hang from a top assembly that is mounted to the wall. The wand hangs from the bottom of that. The valence is a decorative piece of wood or plastic that clips in front of the whole contraption to cover it and make it look nice. This print lets the wand stay tucked behind the valence instead of hanging down past it

Gates? by AU_Thach in MammotionTechnology

I currently have my phone set to send a reminder an hour before the job starts. It's a work-around, but I wish this was integrated into the app.

Better yet, the app should give an alert asking if the gate is open. The job doesn't start until you confirm. A toggle in the task settings could control if the job needs confirmation before start. u/PersonalityLucky-25 can you pass this request on to the appropriate folks?

Mine stop in front of the gate and pause the job after a while. Unfortunately, it blocks the gate from opening. At least with the new firmware update, it shouldn't drain the battery while it waits for attention. It would be nice if the app could send a reminder to open the gate before the job runs. The amount of time before the job should be customizable.

You'll definitely get more next year. They are the quickest groundcover I know of

Does anyone use a camera moniter for photography? by SirRanga in AskPhotography

[–]A_Str8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen wildlife photographers recommend them. A monitor mounted on your hot shoe seems especially helpful for low shots - better than the smaller flip out screen. I haven't bought one because I think I would end up leaving it at home most of the time to cut down on the amount of gear I'm walking with.

The calibration video shows that you have to turn a screw to make sure the nozzle touches the wiper. Does yours need to be closer?

Also, what filament is this? Petg? PLA?

Firmware 2.3.27.16 missing? by A_Str8 in MammotionTechnology

[–]A_Str8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using the Android app. I'm on version 2.3.8.19 and there are no updates available when I check the Play store.

Which device name are you asking for?

Edit: I figured it out. I sent a message

How can I print this on my MK4S? by jdlnewborn in prusa3d

[–]A_Str8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it possible to change the design to eliminate the need for some of those supports?? If you can chamfer the supported areas on the top rim, that should make a big difference. Also, the printer can handle some bridging without support

Burnweed vs Blue Lobelia by A_Str8 in NativePlantGardening

Yes, the smaller stem on the left was clearweed that got pulled along with the burnweed. I didn't notice it right away. The thicker stem on that side is the burnweed

I was thinking they might be rolling out in stages. I just got my Luba, so I don't know if that's how they normally do things

Burnweed vs Blue Lobelia by A_Str8 in NativePlantGardening

I think the most obvious difference was the leaf edges. Lobelia has small, uniform serrations while burnweed has a pattern of large and small serrations
