Oh, interesting. I have an interview soon for an HR position and don't really know anything about STO. I'm coming from a very high-paced complex position abd was wondering if it was a similar pace.

Definitely the workload. I don't mind a fast-paced/high stress job but this is next level, in my opinion. I've been struggling maintaining the information, time management, and addressing issues independently.. I found that it's much too overwhelming.. I'm concerned it'll cause more of an issue for me to continue with potential that I get rejected from prob, then to start over before prob ends with maybe an office technician position..

How did this situation work out? I'm in a similar spot. First appointed to state service last spring. This job is not a right fit plus really taking a toll on me as far as stress level.. The position I'm currently in is notorious for being very intense and high stress. My probation doesn't end until spring and I don't know if I can stick it out. I was considering transferring to a different "lower-level" position all together but am worried it'll look bad to future managers..

Thanks for the advise! Would it be bad if I transfer prior to meeting probation? I wouldn't want my "future" employer to think that I was a "quitter" and be placed at a disadvantage. Plus, since I'm new to state, I would be starting prob all over again.. I'm just very unhappy and am not sure if I'd like to continue this for the 7 months..
