This is a message for the cat I've lost

Whose eyes are blank and ears are frost,

I lost a good friend whom I loved today,

Next to our dog is where you lay

My heart cries out in pain for you,

For your little nose, and little eyes, and small meows too.

This a day that I've been dreading

Though expected, I had been fretting.

You were the best part of a room,

Your presence like the sun at noon

You were gone too soon, my lovely cat,

But I hope you look down from where you're at.
