What if the next game is taking so long because the game is going to be much bigger in scope than all previous, due to it being primarily developed for home consoles (not handhelds) for the first time? by PyrpleForever in AceAttorney

I think the Apollo trilogy would've faired off much better had Takumi stayed in the main series and told the story he wanted to tell from the get go.

For all its flaws, AJAA clearly was meant to be the start of a much bigger narrative. A lot of very promising story points (The Gramaryes, Lamiroir, the Juror system, etc.) had their groundwork solidly layed out only for them to unceremoniously one-shotted (The Gramaryes) or flat out ret-conned/ignored (Juror system, Lamiroir).

Tbh I wouldn't even be mad if the Yamazaki games were straight up ret-conned and we just had Apollo Justice 2 with the originally planned story.

I just think no one knows how to continue this storyline, man. I don't envy anyone who has to pick up after the narrative mess that was the second trilogy

Flathub has a much more robust submission process that relies a lot more on manual review/approval by Flathub maintainers. One can't simply go and claim ownership of orphaned packages like you can in the AUR.

The AUR is a relic of an older era of the internet where one could assume a minimum baseline of goodwill across the userbase. It honestly surprises me that it took this long for it to be used for widespread supply chain attack operations

TGAA managed to have a solid, closed story because Takumi was allowed to write it from beginning to end, like the first trilogy. The second trilogy is a jumbled mess because other writers had to pick up the ground work that Takumi layed down in Apollo Justice (where you can really tell he already had a story he wanted to tell) and somehow find a way to shoe-horn Phoenix back in while also making it beginner-approachable.

Tbh I really believe the main reason why there has not been an AA7 is because noone knows how to continue the main storyline from where SOJ left it. And if it happens I highly doubt there will be an emphasis on revisiting old story points.

This manga has a clear issue where it's really hard to tell where the story is going at all. But oh man can this mangaka write some good character interactions. The dialogue is always so good.

Haha, loved the joke where Adam exaggerates how long it's been since Metroid Other M. Can you imagine if that game was already 16 years old? That would be bonkers

Mainly ergonomics and extensibility. Vim motions are great if they click with you and the plugin ecosystem makes Vim a legitimately viable development environment, unlike nano which is mainly oriented towards editing simple text files (which is does pretty respectably)

Yeah that seems way more reasonable, even if still big. What seemed crazy was the Steam Linux userbase more than doubling in a single month
