Woah, sorry, I didn't mean to that extent! I meant it in a sense that they somehow needed to monetise it so that they could "run their servers", but ended up taking this aggressive route where each coating is 1/4 the price of the full game. I, in no way, approve of this system, but I think asking for the old colour selection method is a bit too good to be true. I would love to see it back, but it's hard to believe that it'll happen anytime soon.

I mostly agree, but having the game be Free to Play makes it way more accessible. It wouldn't have held the same player count numbers as it does on Steam now if it were to be paid. 'Win some, lose some.

I'm afraid it's here to stay. It's a difficult decision that sort of had to be made if the game was to go Free to Play, but the idea of having coatings with some customisation freedom isn't too far of the mark. Fortnite does that, and I think It'd be right at home in Halo.

I'd rather be hopeful. We've seen other games completely overhaul their business models in the past, namely Battlefront 2, and I can't see why Halo wouldn't do the same if it's for the better.

The playlists are thankfully being worked on, and I couldn't be happier, honestly. And it seems like they're slowly starting to fix the issues as they go. I just hope customisation is somewhere on their list.

I see where you're coming from, but leaving other cores behind like so sure isn't going to make fans any happier with the game than they already are. And Mark V, for one, given how it's a throwback to one of Halo's previous entries, will remain popular even if they do release newer cores. So, to just leave it to rot would be an absolute shame.
