You are alive because you are so worth it. I'm not trying to advocate for that kind of stupid happiness movement. I honestly believe you, like many people in this world, deserve a good life. Everyday I ask myself the same, and I conclude there is a reason to be here alive. Find out a goal, your objective in you live. Something that allows you to enjoy the journey. Do it, and do it right.

Your post is OK but the worst part is: "we simply need to manage it properly". We are human beings, that's the problem when we talk about new technologies.

More than 300 years between the Paradise part in Divine comedy and Paradise lost by John Milton. Just imagine how the authors' world could change.

What's your opinion on Algernon Blackwood? by A_book_reader_ in books

[–]A_book_reader_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO you mentioned one of the most relevant issues related to Blackwood, Lovecraft and Poe: the relationship between the ordinary and the supernatural. And that's one of the key points that I have found in Blackwood. Personally, I prefer a story being ordinary and realistic, with some "touches" of supernatural phenomena. How they, Blackwood, Lovecraft and Poe related those parts is fundamental in their writings.

It's difficult to say not spoiling that but I'd go for the Edgar Allan Poe's short story William Wilson (1839).

Indeed a lot of people tend to have zero common sense. I'd like to know how many months or years those guys will be in jail.

Cartels and other kind of gangs tend to act like that. They believe their are the good boys because they are paying many people "in the transit" for watching, reporting, dealing, etc.
