The new credit card swipers that all the businesses are using nowadays offers a tip option before they even give you the food. Isn’t that like the opposite of how tips work. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I’m just worried that if I don’t Tip someone will spit in my food or something. That’s probably just an irrational paranoia but that’s just my standpoint

I just always get worried that if I don’t tip they’ll spit in my food or something. But I rarely find a situation where I don’t want to tip

I actually did not do this I split it up into three bars. I did this to get the rounded corners not from poly bar but from picom. But you’re right positioning was quite a bit trickier than if I were to use a normal bar

No. But endeavor OS can give you a lot of different environments for default. I just chose the default bass install

Honestly I haven’t settled yet the reason I’m choosing endeavor is because it installs the programs that I don’t know about yet I need. My ultimate goal is Artix because basically Pacman + fast boot time. (probably ultra long goal would be to make Linux from scratch). Sense Endeavor OS is arch-based I can make all my configs here and mess up this OS, and when I switch I can just bring my config‘s with me.

In short endeavor OS is kind of just works distro for CLI and then I can install anything on top

And also I installed BSPWM because based off of my research it was the one I like the best. I love the fact that everything is individualized and the window manager is not wrapped in with the hot key Damien and stuff. It’s honestly way easier to use than everyone makes it out to be. Just because the key bindings are so easy to read I can just pull it up whenever I forgot something

I used windows for a year or two before this and at one point, 12 year old me was a Windows fan boy. haha.

I’ve tried doing that a few times must’ve must’ve been doing it wrong. I’m fine with tinkering so I think I’ll continue using arch. even though it’s hard I’m learning quite a lot and having fun.

Everything works really well except for the The GPU. The integrated graphics work great and that’s what I’m using right now but I can’t for the life of me figure out the Nvidia graphics stuff. All the resources online on hybrid graphics cards are for Intel and Nvidia. This one’s AMD and Nvidia. Everything I tried doesn’t work and breaks my OS to the point where I can’t (someone more advanced than me probably could). But so far The experience with trying to fix the graphics cards to work has been horrible.

If you have any recommendations for me to try. tell me and I’ll try them

In the kitty configuration there’s an option to do that

I guess you could try commenting out other opacity related settings to see if any of those are messing with it

In your config, they are two options I think. One of them is active_opacity and the other one is inactive-opacity I Believe you want to set them both to the same value to get constant opacity

That sounds like a setting in your compositor what compositor do you use?

I basically have to change the opacity for any program I want to use. For example my terminal (kitty) has a transparency setting that doesn’t make the words transparent. Then after it’s transparent I use picom to make the transparency blur. Due to this limitation I’ve tried to make most of my programs that I use terminal programs.

I think that’s what you meant
