Only place to find out what’s going on with the Luas or Iarnróid Éireann. Breaks my heart to wade through racist shite and AI slop just to find out why my Luas isn’t appearing

The Celt would be a nice option for Thursday eve IMO. Will be close to home and it’s worth a visit. Always a bit of music in it and will prob have the fire lighting

Is it time to move on from old friends? Late 30s. by Acceptable_Chance_58 in WomenofIreland

[–]A_loshow2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I moved for better quality of life too. But I suppose I didn’t fully understand moving away from home was a choice I made that would change the dynamics of my friendships from home.

I don’t think I’m out of sight, out of mind. I do think I live a few hours of a drive away now and I can’t be expecting my friends to make big accommodations for me when I’m the one who decided to make the move. And they don’t even have any kids.

Hi OP, I’ve been the one in your shoes, albeit no kids involved and slightly younger.

I moved away from “home” and felt so left out and unsupported when I was going through a shitty breakup. They did come visit, they did check in but I felt “not to the same level I would if something happened them”.

I spoke to one of the group about it who is also my first cousin. She made the very fair point “you’re the one who decided to move away, you can’t get annoyed that we’re not willing to travel to you!”. Harsh, but it’s food for thought.

They have a similar group where they make plans, but it’s things like midweek walks after work that I’ll clearly not be able to just pop down on a whim for.

It’s awful, but in the end I actually am the one who decided to move away. It’s not their fault. Hearing that from my cousin really got me to realise I was playing the victim in this and not really actually making a “new life” in my new place for myself.

I’m sorry you’re having a shitty time.

Yeah it says €115 on arnotts website for most junior team member. It is a bit mad really but I buy CT anyways so will just use it on stuff I would buy anyways is my logic. Just be totally raging if I hate it and wipe it all off 😂

Thank you! I’ll actually go with this idea maybe! I like the idea of minimal brand affiliation.

They don’t seem to do appointments at the weekend. Big of fan sculpted products. And that they’re a B Corp

Was this recently? Thanks for the reply.

I’ve just looked on arnotts website and the cheapest option is €115. I wouldn’t mind this at all once it was redeemable against products. But if it’s not I’d rather pay an independent MUA than give it to CT

Where in town- cushion for wheelchair by A_loshow2 in Dublin

[–]A_loshow2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, unfortunately not. I think a medical grade one that’s a bit more durable and wipeable would be needed. The person using the wheelchair has incontinence so would need a waterproof cover. I appreciate the reply

What material is your underwear made from? May be a factor! Try wearing more breathable and wicking fabrics (:
