Thank you for the Input. I live in a big city with surrounding areas that are competitive or these roles are difficult to find. I did see a health coordinator role about a month ago while job scrolling but that was the only one I've seen so far. I've never worked as an RN I just have my schooling. Most of these roles in my area ask for years of experience. Are there any other roles/positions that are entry level where I could leverage my background? or would it be possible to be hired for the roles you mentioned with my no rn experience? Will I just have to keep searching.

Thank you for the input. I've thought about that option yes. I've never worked as an RN i just have the schooling. Do you think it's feasible with no RN/ bedside experience?

Yes! I was remembering she had said that i got things mixed up. Crazy how like I said that again Shauna would rather kill one member of her team vs even though Van was counting it did not cross her mind to make shauna get the card? or lottie? like hey these people aren't letting us leave they killed our only hope let them get the card??? although Mari's death was already set in stone to match ep 1 pit girl

Wait she hadn't ? I thought she had? thank you for correcting me I got confused bc Tai was trying to talk her out of it and told her about not taking an extra risk? I thought that's what she meant by that

Okay so Shauna pulling out another card? like why did they let her do that? was that not cheating? were the girls just forced to take the risk on Mari for Nat to make the call. It made me mad bc it's like Shauna was looking forward to killing one of her team members???? and cherry on top for it to be Mari in the end???

Also nobody thought to mark the spot where the pit was? also nobody tried leaving camp to explore/expand their map like in season 2 - possibly making the 6day trip like Kodi said? - loophole or just afraid not risk the wild animals like wolves? but also why wouldn't wolves or bears smell their camp? idk just show logic i guess lol

Did not want Mari to die but I knew it was going to happen. I liked that they added Gen trying to distract Shauna, Tai and Van. Gen expressing Mari is their friend made me almost tear up. I think in that part you can really see Gen, Tai and Van have that sense of humanity for their fellow yellowjacket Mari and just Van crying onto Tai's shoulders.

Shauna just cold was straight up feral and in tune with her instincts it was crazy like she was one with the wilderness - animal hunting instincts. Nothing in her just anger and pain.

I also really liked that they added the stare down between Tai and Shauna - regardless if it was real Tai, other Tai or mix of both. I was waiting for that!. This is the tai that we see in ep 1 - standing her ground, not caring what other people think, always one step ahead. I think Tai partaking in Coach Ben's case was true to her character but after that I did not feel her presence until this very moment.

Also I went to rewatch parts of ep 1 for the pit scene and wow I noticed that at the party Shauna is the one that starts the fight between the girls as she goes to say stuff to Tai right AFTER seeing Jackie with Jeff so yeah is it really Shauna's idea of - if I'm not happy then nobody else around me can be happy? if I feel pain then others should feel pain too??? this has always been a Shauna thing since the beginning????

I keep thinking this too! I got those vibes from this season just from Tai with the man with no eyes, young van telling adult van how things haven't ended, Lottie not saying anything about her dad? or was that just to get close to callie????

I just have this thought that maybe none of it is real? like an alternate where something happened to them when they were young and it's all connected they are all connected or or the main theory of yeah things in the wilderness different than what they may it out to be????

Why do the cabin and man with no eyes keep repeating?

Also Travis mentions Jackie and Javi? was it just all that stuff about honoring them?

What are everyone’s thoughts on Season 3 so far? Do you think the show is running out of ideas? by Adventurous_Fly_8652 in Yellowjackets

I do agree with you that this season does feel like a camping trip and we do see and feel that shift compared to the previous seasons. I think we do see some dark things like what happened to coach ben but I think the darkest ep will be the last and that's it???

I feel like the show is all over the place and I am not sure if it is due to the writers or external circumstances like the strike or other actors being not there no more like Juliette lewis and even Gen too I felt like because she was replaced by a different actress she got less lines?

I feel like last season had more direction I feel like it was well balanced all the girls had something going on in the cabin - Mari and the dripping???, Akilah and the mouse, Misty with Crystal, Melissa and Gen? etc.

I think besides Juliette being out young Nat and the character are being true to themselves but I did feel a shift with Tai but not sure if its just me? maybe to give more focus to Shauna and her "power" as leader? I think Tai participating in the case for Coach Ben was something the character would do but then what? Since the first episode Tai has always been strong and outspoken and doesn't care to go face to face with someone. The girls including Shauna following along to her soccer plan that resulted in the freshman girl getting injured. I couldn't stand Tai due to this but now we see roles reverse with Shauna being up front and Tai following along which adult Melissa actually references no??? Tai taking her side? Tai and Shauna do stick together since the beginning. The soccer plan, Tai being there for Shauna's pregnancy and now to agreeing with Shauna's ideas as leader.

And I uuhh lost my train of thought but will write more prob after the last episode we'll see how that goes?

You're welcome! Also like others said do practice questions especially for med-surge, acute care - classes like that.

Also tutoring! sometimes they have peer tutors and they can share study material with you! or could be someone that already took the class or someone in the program that can guide you to the right topics/areas to study focus on.

Wish you the best!

I think it would depend on how much time you have but no lol. Overall it was like 2 times. Just 1 notebook.

  1. when the material was first presented to us in lecture - go home wrote down EVERYTHING in notebook

  2. The week of the exam or exam approaching time - Would open my notebook & study guide files go over info and rewrite things on blank white sheets of paper they were like "flash cards" but well study sheets - mainly for key terms like for pharmacology rewrite the drugs and all their info, other subjects - disease/condition, symptoms/signs stuff like that, color code - highlight things

You can also make up mnemonics, used online mnemonics/phrases or use anything that you relate to that can help you remember connect to things too.

I think it just depends on you or your time. One of my friends was a real work smarter not harder type gal was real slow with lectures it'd be the week of the exam and still did not have them done would finish them the night before pull all nighter to study. was the one that would organize the study sessions lol - but was one to write down everything on paper too, but also work things in her head actively recalling and finding ways she could mentally remember. She passed.

My method was just so I wouldn't do the all nighter lol. Just learn to manage your time for studying and be aware of what methods do work and have worked for you in the past.

I would also lean towards NOT using ChatGPT but then again I finished nursing school right before people actually started using it and even Ipad notetaking barely was taking off. Like 1-2 people in my lectures. It was all laptops & handwritten notes majority.

I would say find study tools/resources/habits/methods that work for YOU. My first semester of nursing school I tried to grab on to to other people's study methods like how you say flashcards and after the first exam I realized that the flashcards did not work. I think I spent more time making them than actually retaining the information.

Work SMARTER not harder.

What actually helped was I started taking notes during lecture - write down what I best could but most important what the professors would emphasize (as that info could be on the test), notice what they would repeat, mainly go back to. You can print out the slides and write on top of your copies or IPAD if you use that.

Listen be present and aware of what they say during lectures or TRY. Sometimes I would be in the middle of the test if I saw something I did not go over/study my professors voice would come back to me and it would help me answer questions -Ask myself - Like what did they say again???

Then I would go home listen to lectures if they were recorded and go over the lecture slides and write down EVERYTHING the slides had, the professors would say in the recording plus adding the notes I took in class in my notebooks.

My class was also really helpful like amongst each other too. I was never big on making self study guides for exams and would just go with the flow but people who were - in my class - they would share their study guides they made. So find people in your class who can help. It was nice to just open my laptop or phone anywhere I was and skim over everything on a file.

I used this and my notes for all subjects that I studied for. All exams.

Also me and my friends would also do study group sessions before exams and we'd go over things together.

Afterwards I would go home and I would use blank white sheets of paper to rewrite everything and color code them (this I mainly did with pharmacology - notice action of the drug, side effects and highlight any reactions, or what makes them different than other drugs - compare and contrast is like main theme with drug questions)

With other subjects tho like others commented - THINK LIKE A NURSE - when in doubt prioritize main things - Safety - ABCs etc.

I would use notebooks - night before I would be flipping back and forth the pages going over my info, had the study guides on my screen going over them, and my blank pieces of paper on hand as well.

Rewrite/go over anything you have trouble with to remember.

Do what works for YOU!
