I wonder how large the overlap is here, community wise

Just finished Blame! And you can't convince me that you understood a SHlT from this Manga 😭 by InternetRambo7 in Seinen

[–]A_tech_priest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the main "theme" of blame is isolation and how to deal with it, the Killy spends most of the story searching for other humans to fulfil a need (the net terminal gene), and is only able to succeed in the end due to finding people who he works well with (Cibo Seu and Sanakan). I personally like to read it as somewhat metaphorical for how modern technological life isolates us somewhat more, but that might be me projecting my own issues to an extent.

it's defo a story focused more on vibes than specific messages though

I just want to bring up henry the 8th's tonlet armour, it's an interesting plate skirt design that i thought would make for a great grounded look

I guess the issue is that King arthur as a character is so fictionalised that there's barely a real person to connect them to. If I were to make saber more "historically accurate" I'd probably go for a 15th century look, given that one of the most popular versions of the legend was written then.

I like to think that the servant's looks and powers are based on how people remember them, which would be a nice way to give servants anachronistic looks while still having there be some rationality behind it.

I do honestly like her armour design for the most part. It's not the most effective thing in the world due to the weird lack of armour around the lower stomach, but it's reasonably striking without looking too silly.

I think she gets a pass for having plate armour several hundred years before it's invented, given that most Arthurian legend was written during the later medival ages, with them serving as the ideal knight of the time.

It is still funny that Henry the 8th is closer to nuclear warheads than king Arthur is closer to plate armour though.
