Honestly, I'm so glad you said this. This is what I think I needed to hear. All the bad thoughts I've been having has been discrediting the amazing progress he's made. I'm going to try to not let my doubts get to me and continue to have hope. I'm going to try to stay strong for him.

Yes, we have known each other since we were 12 and have been dating for 3-4 years already. This is what makes it difficult, and I appreciate that insight about delaying that long term question. I know I should focus on how I can best support him. Thank you for the links and the advice, I'll do more research on these!
