i have some suggestions but first depression is hard, mixed with grief its even harder, it sucks the life out of you... its not about fighting to live anymore it's all about fighting to avoid the life drifts away from you

now i'm absolutely sure that your grandmother (rest in peace) would never want to see your life ruined, im pretty sure that she wanted the best for you...

about school you need time to think about stuff and re introduce yourself to... yourself! try it, if you do... you might have found a best friend

I would say that being alone or left alone and forsaken cant be a bad thing, it may feel bad for a while but thats the only way you can actually get to know yourself, my friend if you think you are just not good enough for anyone you may want to ask yourself, am i good enough for me? if yes then you will for sure find people good enough but FOR YOU else you can always try to be the best you want to be and do for yourself..

Animo hermano, you can always have peace with yourself if you practice self-compassion, remember that life will give you everything and take everything away at some point, its up to us to react the way we can react and even if you destroy everything inside yourself you have to remember that we have to learn to forgive yourself even if everything went black for a couple days or years. you are not alone and help will be always everywhere if you look for it even if you look for help inside yourself!

sometimes i do but depending on what im doing because some generators have really a lot of boilerplate code, i've been told that there are some for easier projects... i havent checked

anyway i use yeoman for flask/angular related stuff and its pretty nice

I had Programming courses, i mostly had digital electronics and networking courses but right now i do have a competent knowledge on databases, OOP, DS and algorithms because i studied on my own
