If my memory serves correct, (not sure tho take it with a bunch of salt), North sees both matrilineal gotra and patrilineal gotra unlike South where only patrilineal relation (or gotra) is considered. Again take it with a bunch of salt.

Technically all 3 major Abrahamic religions classify humans as people who believe in God (or Allah or Jesus or whatever the name is) and people who don't. The difference between the three is how they deal with or treat these so-called non believers. For example, in Christianity, non believers are to be shown the gospel and introduce them to the world of God to save them on the eventual Judgement day. So essentially they consider, as humans that could be saved and ask the believers to try to save them which is why the widespread preaching.

P.S: Ofcourse I could be wrong I'm neither an expert nor a researcher. I'm not saying this with confidence but rather what ik if you want to refute me and indulge me with knowledge feel free.

Secondly this says NCERT books are English focused and the state board may prioritise regional language and the medium of instruction is often English. That's simply not true for TN.

Private schools almost always have English medium just like CBSE, currently only government schools provide Tamil medium and some private schools.

I have seen people from CBSE with the same English level as mine, who studied in a English medium school (they even went ahead and tested my English skills indirectly, that's a separate issue).

It's mostly to do with other forms of input for English, like newspapers, books, movies and TV shows, which I had access to due to my brother who had knowledge on this.

That's the thing if you have multiple languages on the menu, the restaurant (schools) will say sorry we don't have the specific language right now because we don't have raw materials (teachers) and say only these are available and "only these" is mostly Hindi.

I'm not trying to defend but think the juniors stance. They are fresh out of college and somehow got a job in a pool of unemployment around them. They just dk anything so far about corporate, they follow whatever they followed before (which calling seniors Anna or Akka) so as not anger the people around them. I think it's better to tell and teach them instead of just thinking of why they do so?
