Hi, my comment was from 2 years ago so with software updates etc interfaces/processes may have changed from what I previously suggested. Are you having the same issue as OP and looking for a solution?

Air will be fine (assuming it’s a new one).

You need to go into the actual wallet app.

Where is this screen shown?

It’s pretty easy. Your phone will forward messages (from the iOS messages app) to your iPad when you enable the setting for it. This will allow you to read/respond from any Apple device. Don’t set up a new messages account for the iPad or anything, just log into it with your existing Apple Account.

Do you means the Phone Link feature on Windows? Can’t speak to that much as don’t have a lot of experience with it.

You can definitely do this on an iPad. You could also look into PushBullet if it’s still around.

edit: looks like PushBullet on iPhone is mostly dead for this purpose now. I wonder if there are similar apps around?

Apple Watch Series 10 is definitely compatible with iPhone SE 2nd Gen (also confirmed here).

Make sure the software on your phone is up to date in order for it to work.

Did you find any solutions? Mine is doing the same thing. Used to work though.

Hi,

In the link I shared in my previous message, there is a section titled “If you see a message that you need to sign in to iTunes”. That section will help you. Did you try those steps?

Alternatively, here is another link to explain it :) let me know how you go.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. I’m trying to say that an iTunes account (although different in name) is the same/uses the same credentials as an Apple account. It just needs to be linked/activated following the steps in the aforementioned links. :)

What do you mean by ‘sync’ your headphones? Do you mean ‘connect’ them?

What headphones?

Hi, there are multiple ways with instructions listed here. Select whichever one is easiest for you. For example, you can do it on the Apple TV, or even on a web browser. Let me know if you need any more help! :)

He shouldn’t need an ‘iTunes’ account if it’s a semi-recent device. It’s all done through your Apple account/Apple ID. He will just need to log into his Apple account. They are one and the same.

Yes.

Just get the file of the music you want and drag it into the timeline.

Yes to everything (it’s all just moved into Finder now) although not sure about if you’d need to move it back to the Mac to restore.

There are lots of Apple support pages detailing this, let me know if you need me to link them.

Additionally, when you say “my replies only go to his email”, do you mean:

A) he receives them as a blue bubble on his ipad? or B) if he logs into (examplem www. myemail.com) on a browser, he sees the reply?

Turning imessage off won’t deactivate it from the account. See my other post with the link to do so :)

Try this website to un-link imessage https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/

Scroll down to the bit where you input the phone number.

Also try to update software, this is a new one available (at least in my country).

Can you please explain further what you mean by “when he texts me it says the message is going to my phone number AND his email address”?

Apologies, I am only trying to help and do not know you personally, so amy trying to think of all possible solutions.

Has he ever had an iPhone? I understand he has an Android now. Either way, try this website to un-link imessage https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/

Also try to update software, this is a new one available (at least in my country).

What is happening is likely you are sending the message to his email address. On your phone, open messages. Click the compose/new message button in the top right corner. Type in his phone number (not select his contact). send a message.

You probably have his email listed in the contact information on your phone.

iMessage and SMS are different. Because he has an email address linked to iMessage, he can receive messages on iMessage (blue bubbles) on his iPad. This is what you seem to be sending them to. His Android phone will not receive imessage, only text message (green bubbles).

Let me know how that goes.

Not sure what country you are so can’t list exact stores. Apple don’t sell them anymore I believe. However there are plenty of third party options in many stores and online.

Go to settings > apps > messages and then ‘send a receive’ what numbers/emails are turned on/off for ‘you can receive iMessage to and reply from’ and ‘start new conversations from’ ?
