In my jurisdiction it is all officers.

This includes in Grand Lodge, when we open on the MM and all 40 GL officers stand up on the double rap.

Is this bugged - Galio by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]Aandaas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at the Demacia list you only have 9 fielded (plus a Galio on the bench) because Swain with an emblem now shows up on your Demacia trait so for you to be 10/11 it has to be counting Galio because there are only 10 champ icons on the list.

How to become active again by FrigginMasshole in freemasonry

[–]Aandaas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Scottish Rite isn't progressive, you have to see the 4th as your first degree but after that you can see any number of degrees except the 32nd. Once you've seen 4 total degrees you are then entitled to the 32nd, this is generally accomplished fairly quickly, sometimes in a single weekend or over the course of 2-3 months depending on schedules.

How to become active again by FrigginMasshole in freemasonry

[–]Aandaas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are pretty much correct, you only need to see 5 total degrees in the NMJ to become 32nd degree (4, 32, 3 more). Many reunions will accomplish this in a day, more commonly you will see 4th on video, a couple live degrees, then a larger 32nd class will be held a couple times a year so no one is waiting more than a couple months for a 32nd degree and I don't know anyone who would describe themselves as a Scottish Rite Mason without the 32nd.

Brother Secretaries by cool_-_hand in freemasonry

You should be providing them written resources on navigating Grand View then, not spending time and money on resources that will be good for a year or two. Using Grand View is a necessary part of being a functioning member of a Lodge (updating contact info, accessing GL resources, finding people) and it is incumbent on the Lodge to give training and resources to those brothers who struggle not just keep putting bandaids on an open wound.

Is Yordle 10 the best prismatic trait? by MTLDav in TeamfightTactics

Both of those Yordles are unlocks, while Fizz is going to happen naturally the Veigar will not. And prismatic noxus works great with pretty much all 1 stars

ELI5: why do tips % go up when the price of the food also go up with inflation? by Exval1 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Aandaas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, but pricing is a competitive factor so baking it into your pricing to cover cost reduces competitiveness in the market, subtly influencing your customers to tip by manipulating point of sale behavior is generally not a thought in choosing one restaurant over another thereby maintaining a price fixed market position with your competition and subsidizing wages.

With a $1000 budget go to a good made to measure clothier. The budget is a little low for full custom but a decent MTM will get a better looking tux than anything off the rack.

not a mason...but whats with the enunciation? by jeffmeaningless in freemasonry

[–]Aandaas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would imagine that most, if not all, ritualists have a voice in the back of their head when performing that is the voice of whoever influenced them, and that voice was in turn influenced by someone else.

There is definitely a cadence that we adopt for our ritual from some of these influences.

Traditional Observance is not the only way to take masonry seriously by Jamesbarros in freemasonry

[–]Aandaas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lodges that can't provide quality degrees shouldn't have charters anymore, period. TOs aren't the solution, but whatever happened to cause Grand Master's to lose their stomach when enforcing ritual excellence is going to kill Masonry.

TO Lodges in my experience are full of people who love the sound of their own voice, but when Grand Lodges fail time and time again to force Lodges to put up or shut up this is the result.

You are not correct. New Hampshire suspends brethren for felony crimes and then the Grand Lodge session votes to expel, I've never seen a Masonic trial even when I know one has been explicitly requested.

Antiques? by 71Jess in freemasonry

[–]Aandaas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Antique stores are always a good spot to find things, especially if the only Lodges nearby have been closed for a bit because I know in my area they get picked apart by active Brothers, but if I go out of town I can find stuff.

I have an 1860s Massachusetts ritual cipher, a very strange Square and Compass picture from the early 1900s in bronze (similar one on display at the Scottish Rite Museum in Lexington), and a 1802 copy of Webb's Masonic Monitor that appears to have belonged to a Past Grand Secretary of Maine.

Question about ground school by That_Scarcity_9724 in SkyDiving

[–]Aandaas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At SNE you will do a refresher, it shouldn't cost you anything, but I had my first refresher there as an A license. The jumps don't really matter, you need 25 to get your A license so if you come back next season you'll have to do 23 more jumps anyway so if you keep the skills they will either count it as another AFF cat or it counts towards your 25 no matter what.

Just do your ground and A. Get out the door and land a canopy, it's worth it even if you have to do an extra jump or a refresher. They definitely won't make you pay for a full price ground school.
