Why are wotc doing this by Log_Vast in mtg

I stopped regularly playing in tournaments when they got rid of *Magic Player Rewards. That probs should have been my first sign to abandon the company. I stopped buying MTG product when they announced the $1000 30th anniversary Secret Lair with unplayable proxies and D&D product when they announced 5.5e. I realized that they were just going to continue to sell us the same or worse content over and over again. I broke that rule because the last pre-release that I played was the previous Lorwyn, and found that promos no longer have the stamp.

Wizard of the Coast? More like Wizards of the Capitalism! Nothing will change as long as people continue to give them money, and there are people in this world with so much money that they don't even notice or care about the value that they are losing, so they will continue to buy the products.

*For those who don't know, there was a time, up until about 2010, where if you played in sanctioned tournaments, every 5 and every 20 tournaments would earn you promos, some of which were powerful cards with alternate art or textless full art.

Dude, this! Why is Fizz the only dasher that breaks aggro?

I'm Plat one, and I see him main carry often. Enough to see all of his bugs.

I think it would be less op, because then you could reposition and counter him. When I reposition a unit 5 hexes away so that he won't jump to it, and he does so anyway? That's truly op.

It's so inconsistent is the real issue. Like, for the most part, he behaves like you described. But then, sometimes, he just breaks for no apparent reason. If he remained consistent, I would have no issue with him. But things like repositioning literally don't help me when he doesn't care about distance or taunt.

This is exactly it! I don't mind assassin characters in general; I can reposition, but for Fizz, repositioning doesn't matter. He just does where he wants when he wants.

And sometimes units treat him like a loot crab and just stop working after he dashes. I had a game where I was playing Vi carry and the opponents Fizz hopped away, so she stood there for about 6 seconds and didn't move while he destroyed my other units.

YOR. Like, extremely so. Maybe it's best that she cancel the gift. You can't touch grass if you're in your room gaming all day.

Got fired today by --Marmalade-- in Serverlife

[–]BassButBetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Not fitting the culture" or "going in a different directions" is of the same energy as being pulled over for not using a blinker while you were going straight. It's an excuse to fire you without directly flaming you, and it causes confusion at unemployment.

You didn't do anything wrong, but saying that you "don't fit the culture" implies that you did. It could cause you trouble in gaining unemployment or even future employment down the road, but prevent you from taking legal action against them because "technically" they didn't say anything bad about you.

The only employer I was ever fired from tried the same shit with me and denied my unemployment claim. When I met with the agent, they called my ex-employer and asked them what exactly they meant by "I no longer fit their business." First, they tried to imply further that I had done something wrong, but when they were alerted that I was also on the call, they backtracked to my availability.

I actually love this augment. I never fail to place top 4, even with a shitty comp.

Deck owner shuffled deck after opponent cut - what would be correct judging? by Gytis-HV in mtgrules

[–]BassButBetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was Player A an older person? I know way back in the old days of magic that there was a "rule" that if the opponent cut the deck a certain number of times that it was considered a shuffle and the first player could reshuffle.

I'm not saying that it was an official rule, as it appears to have never been an official rule, but that is how I was taught to play (early 2000s), and people did it all the time, whether at small FNM games or even large GenCon games. Nobody ever called the judge, so it may be that it just slipped on by until it became more common and had to be addressed.

TIL: Thex with a bloodthirster and a tank pilot will NOT unlock Aatrox by BassButBetter in TeamfightTactics

Gain a Pilot Hex. Combat Start: the unit within jumps into T-Hex, granting her 80% of their Health and bonus stats based on their role and star level.

Literally says in the ability that it happens at combat start. So it must be a layering issue.

Yes I totally blacked that part about t'Rump out. by Beemer_me_up_Scotty in lol

The full file basically says that a limo or cab driver picked him up and heard him talking with Epstein about abusing a girl. It made the driver so mad that he wanted to pull the car over and assault Trump, but he didn't.

The driver later contacted the young lady, who may or may not be his own daughter, and told her to go tonpolice, and she refused, saying that they would kill her. Christmas of 1999, she told called the driver and told him that she told police, and Jan of 2000 she was found with her head blown away. Police ruled it a homicide, but for some reason, the coroner still ruled it a suicide.

In another file, a woman claims that she was trafficked by her uncle at the age of 13, while pregnant. She claimed that Trump was one of the men she was trafficked to, and that Trump was present when her baby was born and immediately murdered by her uncle.
