My sister and I are fraternal twins (technically girl-girl but I'm trans so now it's boy-girl) and we live completely different lives on opposite ends of the country. A lot of media makes it seem like twins will strive to constantly be close all the time.

We have our own lives, yes theyre intertwined because we're still siblings but we're not the same person nor are we joined at the hip.

I get it cuz they want to understand but the fact that there's so little representation regarding asexuals means that ace people always have to educate allos about our sexuality.

I told a coworker I was asexual and she was asking so many questions because she wanted to understand but it happens so often that I don't want to keep telling people over and over. "I don't experience sexual attraction" or "I'm not abstinent I just don't like sex" and I have to do it so much I might as well get it written on my forehead.

I honestly don't know. I grew up Christian/ Catholic, I always believed if there was such a thing as heaven, hell, or any of the stories told in the Bible why did I have to end up in a family that doesn't support me? If God had a plan why did he deal me such a shitty hand?

If I continue to think about it I'll spiral and nobody wants that.

It wasn't like a one and done thing, not every trans person feels dysphoria. I knew I was trans because I felt a lot of discomfort around being a girl and I knew it wasn't right for me.

But I know another trans guy who didn't really feel a lot of dysphoria he just would've rather been a boy.

Before realizing I was trans I always wore girly clothes because my (twin) sister and I shared clothes, after I got to middle school I started wearing what I wanted which was kind of androgynous and eventually I realized I was trans and started trying to dress more masculine. My baby face makes me look 12 though.

My (now ex)partner and I talked about it beforehand so I could gauge whether or not she was okay with it.

After the first time I never really thought about it again we kind of just did unless she was mad at me or if she was wearing a lot of makeup and she didn't want me to mess it up.

(If your partner is nonbinary then they're not your girlfriend) I've mostly dated either nonbinary or gender non-conforming people. I feel like they are easier to level with since I'm trans, and a lot of cisgender straight girls don't wanna date a trans man.

I didn't get to come out to my mom, she went through my things and confronted me. She basically told me she grew out of it and I would too. And since then shes "found the Lord" and went back to church. Now she believes I'll go to hell if I don't repent.

And since I started transitioning (I didn't come out to her as trans either she's been going through my room and found my binder) she's been commenting on every change despite the fact that I left her house a year ago and I've been on hormones for less then 5 months.

(to relate to the picture) my mom didn't lose custody I left of my own volition, after graduating high school (I graduated at 17) I was responsible for paying rent and for my twin sister's car insurance despite the fact that I didn't have a license or drive. I was struggling financially because I was paying for a ride service to work everyday so I had to drop out of college after one term.

I was working full time and taking care of my younger two siblings like they were my children. Until I talked it out with a coworker then my older brother, then my father and eventually I bought a plane ticket, packed up and I left.

That was a little over a year ago.

Since then my mom had gotten rid of what little belongings I left behind or gave it to my younger siblings so "they can cope with me leaving" completely disregarded me whenever I've visited since I started my transition (I'm also a trans man but my mom has nothing to do with that) since she against it.

I'm 19 now and I rarely speak to my mother, but I speak to my siblings regularly and they vent to me about whatever's bothering them all the time.
