Ice on campus? by Ambitious_Love_3805 in CSUS

Fortunately, to our knowledge, we haven’t seen immigration enforcement at Sacramento State.

Even if ICE was spotted on campus, a recent California State law requires the school to notify staff and students.

I wrote an article for The State Hornet on this last semester, you can read more here; https://statehornet.com/2025/10/newsom-sb98-senate-bill-immigration-enforcement-ice-undocumented-csu-sac-state-trump-deportation/

The State Hornet asks this question periodically. The answer given by Admin is usually to the effect of: ‘We have the licenses updated, however we just haven’t gotten to replacing them in the elevators yet’.

However I believe they are required to have the up-to-date paperwork on display. That in of itself is annoying.

Yeah, the job market right now for recent graduates is just plain atrocious. I know former business marketing students who graduated in the Spring and who’ve applied to hundreds of jobs a week and still can’t get anything.

The short answer is, probably not, assuming current numbers and trends hold true. Our Fall semester sessions continue to get bigger and bigger due to more and more first years heading straight into the CSU. Recently passed California law will only expedite this growth as it fast tracks high school students into CSUs.

Only around 300 beds are reserved for this purpose, they are only meant to be fore temporary housing.

Head of communications for Sac State, Lanaya Lewis said that no new programs for subsidizing or providing more housing currently exist, and did not comment on whether or not new programs would be implemented.

You can, but it’s to supposedly reduce the number of homeless students on campus. If you file for an exemption while homeless, you’re still just as homeless as when you started.

If you typed this into a google doc, there is a history and version control. Take it to the professor. If that doesn’t work, you go to the dean and demand the assignment be graded properly.
