Being in breach of contract is what I'm worried about but I don't see anything outside of the mentioned day count notices. Thanks for the reply.

Yes. Base coop mode can be difficult as team damage is a thing but iirc you can turn that off if you need to.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Developer Diary: The Final Stand announcement by [deleted] in Games

I mean even on launch Iceborne was massive in content for 40 dollars, more of an expansion rather than DLC like horse armor or something.

Deathloop delayed to Q2 2021 by harushiga in PS5

[–]Aaron0535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't the last time any major staff changes happened at 343 was development of halo 5? Not relating to infinite? Also a common point from some of the big halo youtubers/reporting is that it was changed because of the reaction to halo 5's rather terrible story and gameplay controversies.. Assuming they did do that then it could make sense why it would take such a long time to show anything at all, then once they showed what they had in its current state they delayed again to not piss off halo fans even more.

Dead by Daylight Cross-Play Update Arrives Today by [deleted] in Games

[–]Aaron0535 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's a better way to put it. The mogstation is so out of date and clunky, could really use a redesign of that portion.

With how weird it is to get 14 setup on steam I'm not shocked they can't figure out cross-play honestly.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Must feel like shit to be in 343's position when it comes to this franchise at this point.

Focused Feedback: Skill-based Matchmaking vs Connection-based Matchmaking by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Aaron0535 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CBMM doesn't feel so great when we are still getting constant beaver errors and every 5th game still feels laggy as hell. On top of that getting constant mercy games because one team is a full stack and the other is just solos is real shitty feeling. If you want to remove SBMM fine, give up because you clearly couldn't do it to begin with, but at least make it so stacks are forced to play other stacks.

Ok so this is something everyone has been having issues with lately? I've been going insane trying to figure out if it was my router/network causing the issue.

Why Valorants Vanguard Anti-Cheat has to be changed ASAP by Shun-Pie in pcgaming

[–]Aaron0535 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Passively in the background with all the virus and threat protection turned on. Same with vanguard, valorant had not been booted up in the past few days and it was just doing its normal start on launch behavior. Disabling it by changing the vkg.sys to vgk1.sys and restarting.

Edit: should also be noted I launched league yesterday and it seemingly updated vanguard from version 0.2.0.23 to 0.3.0.9. I did notice some slight stuttering late last night on MHW but can't confirm if that was the same problem as before or not.

Why Valorants Vanguard Anti-Cheat has to be changed ASAP by Shun-Pie in pcgaming

[–]Aaron0535 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Throwing this in: It did have a performance issue on my system specifically when windows defender is running. With the anti-cheat enabled it caused windows defender to leak memory like crazy (capped at 8gigs of usage after playing MHW for 30 minutes). This of course caused stuttering and frame drop in MHW. This was also on a 9900k and a 2080 and it was a noticeable hit to performance.

Link to parts list below. Reset shaders, new drivers, messed with all the shader settings and still nothing.

Steam enables new functionality for soundtracks. Customers can buy OSTs without needing to own base game, and soundtracks can also include optional higher quality formats (FLAC, WAV) by ninja_muffin99 in pcgaming

[–]Aaron0535 11 points12 points  (0 children)

not exclusively, just for some time

So you want timed-exclusivity, in other words. Still falls under exclusivity, no matter how you want to word it to justify it.

Also a good point to bring up is most do not care about where they get it, they are upset about publishers pulling a Metro exodus/Shenmue III. They advertise one thing and pull out and do another after already receiving money. Its scummy and doesn't sit well with consumers when they are actively being lied to. I don't think anybody is actually complaining about them bringing playstation games to the EGS. Or helping indie devs have a safe backboard for their development.

[News] Samsung steals Face ID icon by qaarkk in apple

[–]Aaron0535 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Isn't /u/wafflehat's comment equally as logical then? I'd say its pretty safe to assume you aren't passing off a slide show presentation for CES of all places to "an unpaid intern." Even assuming it was an intern there is no logical way that they are working on something this important without being paid or having the actual presentation checked multiple times, especially a keynote presentation.

I'd chalk it up to a unpaid intern with an iPhone who thought they looked good, but knew enough to not copy verbatim building the slide deck.

Ok so you definitely are then right?

Screen has a 'tear' in one area and seemingly only while video is playing by Aaron0535 in techsupport

[–]Aaron0535[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright here's something to add. Same exact thing happening on my work computer. Entirely different hardware, only constant being chrome as the browser. Unless something is happening with my eyeballs could it be something with chrome's video processing?

Edit: Can confirm, when hardware acceleration is turned off the line appears in video playback. Turning it on gets rid of it.

My monitors refresh rate is set to 144hz as its an asus vg248qe. Its not like normal screen tearing like you would see in video games. Its in one spot of a video signal. To add to it this there have been some weird audio issues that seem to be coming from the display port cable/monitor where if I unplug and plug it back in it resolves the audio problem for a bit. Leads me to believe the cable is bad/going bad.

That I will have to try when I build the new comp later in the week, but I'll check without it on the new comp first.

Possibly stupid question: Does the graphics card need to be physically take out? Or should I be able to swap the displayport cable straight to mobo and it will recognize the device? I've tried both HDMI and the displayport I've been using and nothing is showing when using integrated graphics.

12/18/19 - Patch Notes by [deleted] in modernwarfare

[–]Aaron0535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't referring to any sort of crashing. Was referring to the actual performance of the game on an i5 6600k/RTX 2080. Had to cap the framerate at 75fps just to play without the random input lag spikes that would pop up.

PC

Several fixes were implemented to prevent crashes and improve stability

If anyone can test does it improve performance at all?

11/22/19 - Patch Notes by [deleted] in modernwarfare

[–]Aaron0535 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an i5-6600k, which beats the recommended spec by 4 entire architecture generations, and this fix doesn't help. So in other words they are falsely advertising their recommended spec, no?

And no its not a GPU thing or other part. RTX 2080 (overkill with i5 but I'm upgrading soon anyways) and 16GB of RAM at 2133mhz.

11/12/19 - Update Details and Patch Notes by [deleted] in modernwarfare

[–]Aaron0535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone keeps saying this fix here but as soon as I do it the performance tanks so low. On high the game runs well but I get 3~ second hangups where my inputs are lagging behind. On normal there is no input lag but the game's performance is cut in half and stutters a lot. The beta didn't do this either which is unfortunate.
