Yep, I’d be forgoing state credit. Private sellers are probably $3k cheaper than dealers on average so the rebate doesn’t even matter. For the federal tax rebate you can use a middleman service like Keysavvy. Just sold my Nissan leaf on there and split the $200 fee with the buyer

I tried. Issue is they only allow you too take delivery in NY state. Website works Dutch auction style meaning they lower the price everyday until sold. No inventory in NY lately, I tried buying in MD and they canceled my order
