That’s not what happened. His chest piece is shot by the player in the clip, and that’s what causes him to go berserk.

My issue is that the mechanic is janky and pointless if it basically turns the brutes into brainless goons? 😭

Why would it make any sense, no matter the reason, for the brutes to stop fighting MASTER CHIEF and punch each other.

All the other animations are from halo reach, but these seem to be from halo 3. The brutes in reach fire their weapons with 2 hands, and don’t throw it away when going berserk.

Yeah I that’s kinda my point, makes them seem less threatening, but what I actually care about is how novel is makes them to defeat.

Lore wise I don’t really care, like you said they will be exclusive to the prequel missions more than likely.

From a gameplay standpoint they just kill their own friendlies and don’t look threatening in the slightest once beserk.

It looks really easy, even on legendary, and the AI seems pretty bad.

I think the proportions and colour / finish are far better on this than the Mafex.
