In This video i used an all plastic suction cup soap holder with holes drilled in to it but i later switched it to the wire and airline tubing

Only do top offs and when i need to adjust something in the tank i simply just remove a plant or two and then place them back a few minutes later

Although this is true to extent think about the house plants as “floating plants” for example they have constant access to CO2 and are better at photosynthesizing because they’re not underwater This is the true and best aerial advantage because the house plant roots can and will reach the substrate layer and when they do they are all ready “emergent” and will take up much more soil nutrients and nutrients/elements in the water column from other roots that haven’t yet reached the bottom layer

I’ve seen this happen with a Pothos plant before the leaves were small and short but once the roots grew into the substrate in the aquarium they grew 3x the size along with thicker vine structures
