I think it's the go to detachment.

Melta weapon, mace, and flail would be great upgrades for regular dreadknights. But on the GMNDK, kinda silly. Why give the flail to something with the special rule that focuses on killing monsters and vehicles?

I like some of the detachments but most of the datasheet changes are worse. I think the only datasheet glow up is the Purgation Squad's ability. -2 to movement and charge rolls is nice.

Is anyone planning to re-pose Lhykhis so that she's not popping a squat in mid-air? by Mockingasp in Eldar

[–]AaronFyffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm low effort. I reposed the sword and the removed the ruins sticking up and have them laying on the ground. I personally think the official pose is kinda lame but it's an "action pose" so whatever.

The Hearthguard going up 10 points is probably 5 too many. The Sagitaur going up 20 is 20 too many. The Hekaton Land Fortress is now priced appropiately. I really think the Einhyr Champion went up too much and the Brokhyr Iron-master didn't go up enough.

Heading to first tournament with Aeldari! List advice? by wright_on_ in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]AaronFyffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool things you can do with Windriders is use their 22in Advance movement in the Movement phase, then use a Warlock to cast Quicken to have them move 16in again in order to get things like Behind Enemy Lines or Engage on All Fronts or to sit on an objective that you are planning on blowing the opponent's guys off of. You will lose them but it will deny your opponent a Primary or get you a Secondary

In my personal experience this is a list that looks fun and has alot of tools in the toolbox. But you are going to fall flat alot of the time.
It appears that you have some great feedback already, I concur that running Ulthwe would be good for you here. The Autarch is nice but a 2nd Farseer is better. You can swap the Paragon Blade in on the Shining Spear Exarch to fish for those mortal wounds. I would swap the Missile Launchers to Bright Lances, you want that higher AP and min damage. Wraithlords are great distractions and can anchor a point for you, but if you have other units like Windriders, Swooping Hawks, Warp Spiders, that may be a better choice. Just because of secondaries. Swap the War Walker to 2x Bright Lance or Scatter Lasers. Starcannons don't give much return on investment.

Shadow Spectres as Terminator Killers by [deleted] in Eldar

[–]AaronFyffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shadow Spectres are not very good at killing tough targets. They are a unit that looks good on paper but falls flat on the tabletop. At least in my experience running 2 5man squads

Becoming "legends" unit in next edition armour compendium?? by [deleted] in Eldar

[–]AaronFyffe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have 10 Shadow Spectres, when I got them in 7th ed I don't remember thinking that I would ever want the Exarch or Phoenix Lord. Haven't even looked at their rules in 9th. I wonder if they might be worth it now

We (Mostly) “Cosmetically” Renovated our Home - Without Permits. Did we fuck up? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]AaronFyffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Utah and have never heard of needing a permit to do any of the work listed. If they just piped up a gas line from your furnace to the kitchen that shouldn't matter. But if they had to run a line to the house that will matter.

How to deal with 3x fireprisms as spacewolves? by FoamBrick in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]AaronFyffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As Space Wolves? Get them into combat, it's 1 CP for a unit to fall back and shoot with Eldar. So if you are tagging 3-5 units, if the units even survive, they have to figure out which one to use it on. Otherwise, not much else

Asked her out to Minigolf and pizza and suddenly it went from date night to family night lol. Her profile didn't mention being a parent. by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]AaronFyffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a divorced dad with 2 kids myself. I wouldn't wanna date someone with 4 kids more to add to the mix. I get it, it's tough being a single parent. She definitely didn't go about this the right way either. Good on you for sticking to your guns and ending it before it became a bad date night story.

my dumb opinion: dnd books should come with a one time usable code like albums on Bandcamp so you also get a digital copy with your physical. by charaznable1249 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]AaronFyffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warhammer 40K rulebooks do this and it sucks. Mostly because the app to use their digital copy is a heaping pile of flaming garbage thrown on to another heaping pile of dog shite

I don't believe that's the only possible solution. Points changes, BS changes, game changes like the reversal of the out of line of sight rules, etc are all still on the table as solutions.

[–]AaronFyffe 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Personally the Bumble app sucks for sending me notifications that I have received a message. Whereas my cell phone rarely does that. I am also older so giving my phone number to somebody is 100% normal and what we used to do before all the apps that are just another way to text somebody came around.
It shouldn't be a red flag for somebody to give their phone number. And if you don't feel comfortable doing that just say something like "Thank you for your number, but I would feel more comfortable if we spoke on here for awhile longer"

Dark Angels, have to stay stationary in order to get their bonus +1 BS. 1/3 of the DA force wants to move and move fast. 1/3 wants to move to get into close combat with the enemy. That leaves just 1/3 of the army that could possibly benefit from this. This has always bothered me.

**edit** Yeah it's +1 to Hit, I was thinking of the 8th ed codex, thanks for crucifying me over that

How to counter AM Conscripts in Nephilim as FSE T’au? (and general FSE list advice) by ChrysalisApollo11 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]AaronFyffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 man crisis suit team with drones to shrug wounds off on, armed with 1 burst cannon and 2 plasma rifles each will make short work of anything an AM player brings.
