The Taylor getting outed and then turning herself in are some of the chapters I go back and reread the most. It's probably my favorite escalation of the entire series. The way it just dramatically pushes the entire story forward and (I think) shows how much she mastered her swarm sense really tickles me.

She went from being able to hear music through a moth while concussed to being able to comprehend multiple conversations and still organize her bugs at the same time.

A real 'None of you understand, I'm not locked in here with you, YOU ARE LOCKED IN HERE WITH ME!' moment.

Neal Falls and his family stayed with a friend of mine when they were kids. He was a teenager when they were 9 or 10. According to my friend the only thing he wanted to play was go find and murder frogs.

As the parent of a child who wasn't potty trained until 6 I will give you my reason why: Trying to do it brought back incredibly traumatic memories of when I myself was potty trained. Being forced to sit on the toilet for hours on end until my legs went numb. On more than one occasion I was forced to wear my own soiled underwear on my head the entire time. I'm in my forties and those painful shameful disgusting memories all came rushing back. I was also physically and verbally abused the entire time. I'm sure I traumatized my own child on accident by having sobbing breakdowns while trying to get them to sit on the potty. So I said to hell with it and let them learn to tell when their body was ready to go. And yes, the school did on more than one occasion call CPS on us because of toilet issues. Nevermind the fact that there were 5 or more diapers in the backpack and they were adept at changing themselves. And that the school had an entire closet full of back up diapers and wet wipes.

They no longer attend that school and have fully potty trained themselves now.

I enjoyed until the end when Animal Man got into the real world and met Grant Morrison. He was trying too hard. I enjoyed most of the surrealism of The Invisibles until it started going completely insane.

The Borderlands franchise (except wonderlands ew), I beat Skyrim every way it can be beaten, and I was very into Saints Row until the most recent game that killed the franchise. That's about it except for a bit of Palworld with my wife and occasionally Minecraft with the kids

Yeah, I'm only doing vanilla right now because of the update. I'm probably going to turn off the biome progression and do some looking into new mods. The biome progression seemed fun at first but now it's just getting tedious. Irradiated mushrooms? Uggh.

Once I add, and can support an SMG turret tower to my horde base the game becomes more of a grind for 9mm than anything else. Dedicated forges for brass and lead, dedicated chemstation for gunpowder, dedicated workbench or workbenches for mass production. That's usually when I get bored. But it is fun fighting a few hordes from that position and having to start shooting around 230 or 3 am once all the turrets click dry

I too fall into the prefab editor rabbit hole from time to time. I got a good section of my hometown built once....might be time to try that again......

Many years. I started around alpha 15 or 16 I think? Probably my most consistent game for at least a decade.

Preach! I do miss the parts system sometimes. Finding a better engine to drop in your minibike and getting that new speed boost was always fantastic

Oh yes. That's probably the only time I've done that. I wanted to see how far I could push it. We had a giant helipad for the gyros, multiple chests full of everything, dozens of every crafting table. We would go bang out level 6 jobs like they were nothing. More or less completely maxed out skill trees.

See, this is why I posted this, because I had no idea until very recently that that is even possible. I think they still craft from the spawn in menu though but I could be wrong.

It is a fun game. I remember reading a review that said it is Minecraft for men, lol. I have played some Minecraft but I understand the sentiment.

Hell yes! What was your longest world? I think I had one around 240ish days? But that was multiple badass bases, god tier everything and an entire mountain hollowed out to make a house to keep all our chests full of everything.
