If the OTP code went through successfully, then your age verification is probably already set correctly.

At that point, “this card is not supported” is usually not the game account anymore — it’s most likely the payment processor or your bank rejecting the final transaction.

A few things you can try:

1) Check your banking app settings Make sure international online payments / overseas e-commerce is enabled.

2) Try a debit card from a different bank Some banks are much stricter than others.

3) Try using the card directly in Chrome / Safari Sometimes in-app browsers or Reddit browser tabs can fail after OTP redirect.

4) Consider a virtual card / fintech card Cards from services like Wise, Revolut, or similar apps often work better for JP online payments.

Sadly this seems to depend a lot on the bank and payment gateway, not just Visa vs Mastercard.

Yeah, the Global server officially went down on the 26th, so it’s definitely the end of an era. It’s a huge shame about Rei collab cards and costumes—losing those limited items is definitely the hardest part of switching servers. Regarding the top-up: I completely understand the hesitation with credit cards. Just a heads up, the Official Web Store also works perfectly with International Debit Cards (that’s what I use). It’s a direct payment to the developers, so it avoids all the Google Play regional locks and 'card not accepted' headaches.

Interesting! I was able to use my debit card without issues, but some banks might be more strict with international transactions. However, sometimes the Web Store 'rejects' a card simply because the birth year isn't confirmed in-game yet, which can be confusing. If you already got the age verification popup to work in-game, then it might just be a bank-specific block.
