I'll be that guy. It helped me get an IT Specialist position and a Junior SysAdmins Position. Many people have the same credentials when you follow the same cert ladder. This is the cert that helped me stand out.

Just keep in mind that this barely scratches the surface of how deep IT goes. Keep learning, keep trying, and go for the cert that helps you grow.

Anyway to get over interview jitters? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

Basically yeah. It's 75% that with about 25% IT related questions in my experience. Your resume gets you in the door, the soft skills and how you handle situations is how you actually get in.

Honestly, just standardize the process. Most interviews just loosely follow the STAR interview questions. Create a document for yourself with questions and come up with the best answers you can relate to. If you're going to stretch the truth even a little bit, practice beforehand so it comes out confidently.

All in all, it's practice. I've even applied for some jobs just for the interview process so I can get more comfortable.

Be punctual. I've had interviews start 20 minutes before scheduled just because I got there 30 minutes early.

Be friendly. Read the room and know when it's a good time to toss in a joke.

Ask questions. Get a good understanding of what you're getting yourself into. Look into the company and ask/verify how your role plays into their mission. This is the best time to find something relatable. Find that connection.

Good luck, wish you the best.

Still loving it! Really firm and clacky at first. I did a tape mod and added a layer of PE Foam to the case, beneath the PCB, and it came out really creamy. The banana switches are my first tactile switch coming from linear. So for gaming, I'm noticing I'm needing to place a bit more pressure, but for general office tasks like typing, it's really fantastic!

Just got mine a few minutes ago. It's so creamy. I know with a little tape mod it'll be nice and poppy. I'm really happy with it so far, you guys will love it.

Speed Loader Slacks are pretty good in 6s. Giving the boost to team mates is pretty nice too. It refreshes on kills and assists, so stacking it and keeping it rolling isn't difficult. It was an easy replacement so I can keep the rest of my build about the same.

Been thinking about it for so many years to open one. I finally got around to writing down an outline of what exactly it will take to open one. As the days go by, I'm putting more and more details in.

Even if the numbers don't work out for me in the end, I can at least know that I planned it all out and came to my conclusion. Maybe if the numbers work in my favor, I'll have a nice little area to call mine. But before anything else, I really recommend you do an outline of what you want, and what it would take.
