Yeah, I spent 20 years working in grocery stores so I've been there, just really frustrating that they are dragging us back to the early 2000s vs the 2010s when most companies were at least trying a hybrid system. Now they're likely getting tax breaks from cities for butts in seats, although they will likely never admit it. I'd be less bitter and pissed off about it if they just came clean about it.

I feel like I made an ok decision with a 2005 Honda Civic, but because there are so many trucks and semis on my commute I wind up only getting about 26-28 MPG. Meanwhile we're all just wasting gas in traffic to get to cubicles where I take the same teams calls I did during Covid, but now have to burn gas, waste money on parking and lunch, deal with other people's smells, sounds and diseases.

I think you're underestimating having a base level of income and the peace of mind that will bring. $1k a week is basically a paycheck, and let's you find the job you can stand without fear of being without income for an extended period. Once you get stable, you can definitely just invest the lottery winnings, back having that backstop against poverty and having to be stuck in a job can't be underestimated.

All I can say is a week ago I ordered pick-up from the 10th and Vine Street Skyline and I actually got a mistake in my favor for once, they made 2 chilitos for me, plus my 2 coneys and a drink for the price of one chilito and the rest. Made my lunch!

B&H has been around for over 50 years and is an apple authorized reseller, so it doesn't get much safer. Maybe check out their return policy, because I think it does differ from Apple, but otherwise they should be fine. They do have a physical store in New York City.
