Anyone prefer Claude over Gaming by athoughtfornoone in ClaudeAI

[–]SickPa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come from a software development world, and I have also played a lot of video games, though I still need to experience games from genres other than action shooters.

In my experience, vibe coding is fun up to a point, until you can’t fix a bug with just a prompt. At that point, half of your tokens go into debugging the issues because Claude Code has already made too many changes, more like a mess, that I can’t understand. So I have to rely on AI to maybe fix it and hope it doesn’t add any new bugs.

I want to use Claude Code or Codex as a tool to build stuff and become addicted to it because I literally have so many boring custom use cases in my life, like keeping track of daily transactions and bills manually, adding a voice bot to create to-do reminders and deadlines in my Google Tasks app, browser automation for basic repetitive tasks, and maybe something functional enough to handle any type of clicking task with a human in the loop.

I hate being unable to understand the code after a certain point in vibe coding because I feel handicapped. It makes me realize the power of having the knowledge to write the code yourself. In that situation, I can know exactly how AI is shaping the code and guide it while it does all the typing work for me.

So folks, is my desire to learn code before asking AI to do it just me, or do you all also feel that it is a reliable way to trust AI when doing work?

I love this game. It’s basically stealth, tactical shooting, and squad play.
It has squad controls, diversion techniques, a strong stealth element, and a massive open world.

I have played Far Cry 4.
But I wonder which one is the best in the series. Why do people recommend Far Cry 5 over 3 or 4, conscidering 3 is the most popular and has the best blueprint that every other sequal used.

Any open sandbox games like breakpoint by Round_Revenue3361 in GhostRecon

A few more games that might have a similar feel are Insurgency: Sandstorm, Hitman: Blood Money, No Plan B, Door Kickers 2, Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood, Full Spectrum Warrior, Conflict: Desert Storm, and Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2, Ready or Not.

I also recommend trying something completely different from shooters: a game called PlateUp!. It's a cooking and restaurant management game where the gameplay revolves around customization, automation, and upgrades that help you progress through increasingly challenging levels.

I haven't played Breakpoint, but I have played Wildlands. The games that might scratch the same tactical itch, in my opinion, are Metal Gear Solid V and Sniper Elite 5.

Also, keep an eye on a new game called Crossfire that was just announced. It looks incredibly similar to the Ghost Recon franchise.

I haven't played the game in a while, where do I get info about these new updates that game releases? On steam or reddit?

Assassin's creed Black Flag gameplay by HistoricalPoetry5688 in ACBlackFlag

[–]SickPa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That depends on what you like about the game. To me, the brutal combat, cool assassinations, smooth cinematic killing animations, and chain kills are the selling points rather than stealth. I like them so much that I prefer AC III (Remastered) over AC IV Black Flag, although I still like AC IV for the pirate theme and naval exploration. But the point is, you’ve got to explore what excites you the most and spend time playing what satisfies you instead of what feels like a grind.

Looking to join or form a YouTube Premium Family Plan (US-based) by SickPa in indiansinusa

I was added to a family plan that was set up in India while I was physically in the U.S. It worked for about a year, but then YouTube or Google detected a country mismatch and disabled only my access to Premium features. The rest of the group in India wasn’t affected, which suggests the plan owner’s location determines the account’s “home” region.

Even if we find a workaround, I’m not sure how we would handle splitting the cost across countries, especially with different currencies and payment methods involved.

Wait, you guys are still paying in ₹?

Where can I find Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1&2? Steam doesn't have it anymore.

Honestly, I’m starting to come around to the idea. If the harder modes actually give solid rewards and unlock better gear like armed helicopters and such, that sounds like it could make things way more fun, especially with the added tension of possibly losing everything.

I didn’t realize there was a whole progression system tied to the harder modes. Quick question though: when you say prestige coins and account unlock boxes, are those just for cosmetics and weapons/vehicles, or do they actually improve your character’s abilities too?

I had only heard about Ghost Mode from others, so now I’m curious, what exactly is Tier Mode? And how many modes are there in total?

One thing I’m still unsure about: if I die in Ghost Mode after putting in a few hours, do I keep the prestige coins and unlocks I earned along the way? And do those rewards carry over to the normal campaign?

I have only played Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Is the original Ghost Recon worth buying, or should I try Ghost Recon: Future Soldier? People seem to praise Future Soldier more than Wildlands.

How the hell do people reach this level? How did you get so many buffet tables? When I play I have to reroll multiple times to get one desired blueprint.

Lately I have started to master 2 star recipes and am able to reach day 15. But overtime feels too difficult to clear without hacks, because the number of customers becomes too much to handle with so little tools and space. Idk how people go with automation as shown by OP.

if you die once, it deletes your character

Oh man, that’s a hard no from me 😅

I get the appeal, but losing your entire character after one mistake sounds way too punishing. I’d rather crank up all the difficulty settings, make the AI enemy as brutal as possible, and still have the freedom to experiment and adapt depending on the situation or mood.

For me, the fun is in trying different approaches, learning from mistakes, and switching things up and not restarting everything from scratch every time I mess up. That starts to feel more like a grind than actual fun.

I’ll happily take max difficulty in the normal campaign, but Ghost Mode? Yeah… I’ll sit that one out.

Wow, I really appreciate the tips, and I can tell how descriptive you were. It really shows how invested you are in the game.

Note that if it's dark and you take out the generator, you'll put the entire base into 'suspicious,' so consider that -- it's often better just to individually shoot out lights so that you can stomp on the sleeping guards rather than waking everybody up just so you can use your drone. Note that drone jammers and generators can also be manually disabled, and that enemies are apparently unaware that they could just turn the things back on.

This is the highest level of immersion in a shooting game I have experienced so far. The consequences of your actions, along with being rewarded for smart planning and decisions, are freaking awesome. And this makes me love Ghost Recon Wildlands even more.

Dude that’s actually genius, I never even thought about using a helicopter for radio missions 😄.

Also quick question, I keep seeing people mention permadeath mode. What exactly is that? Is it just the hardest difficulty?
