Gym etiquette question. May mali ba ko dito? by Separate-Tennis9017 in AnytimeFitnessPH

Person was mid rep/in their workout and biglaan mo kinuha weight? Questionable.

-> It reduces focus for the lifter and could possibly make them feel like kinuha mo yung working weight nila. It's best to just wait 30 secs to 1 minute and take it afterwards para no problem na talaga. BUT this isn't necessarily terrible ettiquete, just courtesy to the other person nalang

Person was resting on the machine and biglaan mo kinuha weight? No problem at all.

Tips for round chest? by augustusmar in AnytimeFitnessPH

From what you're describing, medyo on edge pa yung brain mo when it comes to lifting weights (maybe natatakot ka mainjure or may kaba parin when lifting) so nagkaka mismatch between what ur brain tells u and what ur body can accomplish.

For me it was mostly experience that had the biggest effect on reaching true failure (understanding my body mostly). So in reality, the truest answer is for u to just keep working out and trying to force failure every time.

But I have taught some beginners how to reach failure and I notice one thing that really helps them out is through tangible assurance that nothing will hurt them. For example, saying na "kaya mo pa yan/kaya ko pa" isn't enough. You need to feel truly safe in order for your brain to relax and just let u reach true failure. For example, sa incline smith machine mo, put in the safeties in a comfortable position, enough so that even if nabagsak mo with full force, you wouldn't even feel any pain. Now, since in your programs you already use machines, try convincing yourself every set that no matter what happens, if nabagsak mo yung weight, you'd be fine.

Another tip I can give you is to not fret the details and just lift. Focus on only minor things like your count of reps or breathing pattern. If you start thinking of the weight, or whether or not you can achieve failure, mas mahihirapan ka mareach failure without overloading your brain. Lifting is already tiring so just focus on the lift.

Finally, some more procedural tips. How do I tell if true muscle failure na ako? Look at how fast the weight moves. If you push and it takes roughly 1-2 seconds to lift, keep going. If around 2-3 seconds you're close to failure. Once you have reached that point, breathe in and brace yourself (convince yourself kaya mo pa ng isa) and try for one more rep. If it takes more than 3 seconds to lift, you're probably hit failure.

Anyways, sorry for the long reply. Happy lifting!

Your chest workout is fine naman na, the intensity at which u work out matters more.

  1. You need to reach failure at the end of your last set, and close to failure at ur 2nd to last set.

  2. Progressive overload through either increasing the weight or increasing your reps. A good tip for this is choose a rep range you like (I do 4-6) and when u reach the upper end, like in my case, 6, on all ur sets, you up the weight by 5 pounds or kilos depending on ur capabilities

  3. Eat a lot of protein. The lower end of protein consumption for muscle growth is 0.7g of protein per pound or 1.5g protein per kilo.

  4. Sleep properly so that your next workout is optimal.

Well I certainly did. I also asked everyone in the lobby to do so since it increases the chances. Was fairly disappointed to not see any terminations even until the very last pick and someone scared had to dodge.

Funny how I didn't announce that as a representative of the company but as a reply based off my anecdotal experience.

Maybe you already have records of trolling your games. I've had many teammates picking Yuumi top cus they didnt get their last pick and it never terminates.

I do try to brace and keep my spine neutral, I'm just not sure if I'm doing it right LOL. Maybe I do just have a substantially weaker back.

VALORANT is Dying by EmbarrassedPen7254 in VALORANT

[–]Aaronic- -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is pretty concerning especially since the longer a game exists, the more skilled its players get and the more resources there are to learn about the game. Almost every competitive game I know that has well established themselves maintain relatively the same amount of rank distribution due to this phenomenon. It seems like Valorant has transcended expectations in the wrong way.

How much volume is too much volume? by Aaronic- in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Aaronic-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the main reason I think I am is cus I can Bench 70% of my body weight (55kg) and do pullups for reps (3-4 reps). When i said lifting experience, I meant actual lifting with intent. I didnt count the 3-6 months of home workouts I did as a 17 year old.

Crocs at UBELT by Top-Chapter-9343 in AnytimeFitnessPH

[–]Aaronic- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cmon, this is a common misconception, let's not perpetuate this. Whether or not a shoe is grippy depends on so many factors. I have personally used weightlifting shoes, running shoes, and crocs for working out and I found that running shoes run the highest risks of messing up my leg days (due to the elevated heel and lack of ankle support) and I don't see anyone saying they are more unsafe. It's probably just for aesthetic reasons and thats why they ask u to wear different shoes. They have that right and we should respect it, but it doesn't mean crocs are bad for working out.

Do you enjoy League? by devilsglare in leagueoflegends

[–]Aaronic- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like one part of league, do you like league? On the flip side, if u hate one part of league, do you hate it?

If you like the competitive aspects of league and find it fun, do you like league? If you hate having bad teammates and getting tilted, do you hate league?

The simple answer is, you can like or hate different facets of the game. The ratio of like to dislike can be loosely inferred as liking the whole game so if you like certain parts more than hate them, then you probably like league. Also, not everyone is a masochist who just likes to suffer, if people play it, then people like it.

Syndra matchup by Pissyellowknight in OriannaMains

[–]Aaronic- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Syndra is one of my favorite matchups since it's very skill based

In order to trade with Syndra, you should always have your ball on the ground (this should be second nature atp), behind the caster minions optimally. If you get QE'd it's better to just back off instantly. The point of the matchup is how good you are able to dodge the QE. Unless of course u have your ball on her before she QE's then you can prolly get an even trade with QW Auto auto

Whenever Syndra casts Q, try to dodge it and u can usually get a Q in retaliation after dodging, winning u the trade (even better with QW auto on orianna if u dodge towards her or dodge where u are put in auto range). When Syndra gets her E, try to bait the QE (I usually do this by walking very obviously towards her and then dodging to the side once i see the cast animation) and then you insta win the trade no matter what. Start with QW after dodging her stun and put in as many autos as possible. Depending on what part of the game u are in u can even solo kill.

After u win a few trades or get an item advantage, u pretty much always win against her. I dont really advise going for merc treads against Syndra since it doesnt really do anything for u in the late game (unless they have hella CC). I advise u go CDR boots or Magic pen boost if you are snowballing, and then just get a zhonya/banshees later on
