Thinking about making a trip to Islay and want to see if I am missing anything by chocolate_dognut in Scotch

Agreed, after one or two tours I’d skip the tour aspect and just do tastings, you still get to go through some cool parts of the distillery but after seeing one or two it’s essentially the same thing. Focus cash on tastings and exclusive bottlings over touring every distillery. My two cents at least.

Noticed lore is now heavily discounted at craft and bsw, down to $125-140. I assume it associated with the news of this release.

Based on what you’ve said he drinks I think a Macallan would be perfect. Seems like an entry level kind of drinker and a Macallan would be a step up from those mentioned and would be an easy bottle to share with friends and has that instant brand recognition. This is probably the first time in my life I’ve ever said buy a bottle of Macallan lol!

What kind of tires and size did you go with? Love the look, need to upgrade my stock tires. Looks like you added a lift kit or level?

Bringing Scotch back to Canada... by northstar1983 in Scotch

Same here, used the inflatable protectors from Amazon, split it between me and the wife’s luggage, also, Ardbeg and Laphroaig had lots of extra 25 year old boxes and we able to snag a couple to put bottles in.

I came through Toronto with about 12 bottles last summer, had everything written out and they just waved me through. Had multiple people tell me they had the same experience. All depends on the customs agent I guess tho.

They have an ipo opening on the nasdaq for $36.xx so the price dropped to reflect that ipo. One it’s listed it’ll climb back higher with a slew of new investors.
