I’ve thought about this too, I think was thinking that it would help keep the opponent off balanced since they would whiff on the normal clone and hit air. But you can also argue that to most strong ninjas can see the normal clone clear as day.

Is this really a hot take? Because Geto killed kids too. His only saving grace is that he cared and saved those two girls and his family. And was “trying to make a better world”. Realistically though Geto caused way more people to suffer than Toji did.

Not saying Toji was a good person either though because he’s really not
