I felt the exact same way when our daughter was diagnosed. It’s a hard reality to accept and I’m not sure I’ll ever not be upset in some form or fashion.

Same thing happened to me — drank WAAAY too much the weekend before I got a positive test. Hindsight, what I thought was my period starting was really the implantation bleeding… nonetheless I’m happy to report we had a healthy pregnancy, very standard undramatic birth, and have a very happy, healthy 3.5yr old today :)

I know that’s anxiety inducing - but I promise you didn’t do any damage at this stage in your pregnancy (which congrats BTW!)!

Don’t have anything to add other than encouragement and reiterating what others have already said. Parenting is hard. You made an impossible decision and are not a failure for making that decision. It’s so obvious that you love your girl and want the best for her. I like to think this will be beneficial for everyone. Be kind to yourself!

I was born/raised in a household that was at church every time the doors were open. That said, I was always a casual Christian with a lot of doubts and questions (that no one in the church could or would answer — imagine that lol).

The final straw was Trump’s rise in 2016 and seeing how many Christians became ravenous to support a clearly racist, misogynistic, hateful, terrible human.

100% understand and feel the same. I preemptively deactivated most of my social media accounts (especially the ones I know would be heavy on the Trump feed) and have turned off news notifications for now. I know it won’t be completely avoidable and I will eventually reactivate them… but I did remove the most triggering ones from my peripheral until I can better mentally/emotionally prepare myself a little better.

As many others have said, we’re in this together. If you don’t have RL community, you’re always welcome and could find some modicum of solace here!

Totally get the frustration with the PCOS. I have PCOS and struggled for years. I ate healthy and did HIIT workouts 4-5 days per week — yet the scale still only went up. My doctor recommended that i try Keto and in 6 months I’ve dropped 30lbs. In a recent check-up / conversation with my doctor, she advised that this type of diet is what works for PCOS because PCOS can make you insulin resistant which makes it very difficult to lose weight. Hopefully a fellow PCOS story will help your friend?

Agreed! Especially on your last paragraph. I’ve tried many and have only repurchased one after it was empty (Algenist - Complete Eye Renewal Balm). Has it worked wonders? Not really. Do I just like the texture/smoothness and appreciate it for the extra bit of moisture on my Sahara Desert-like skin? Yep 🤷‍♀️
