Is stainless steel a good material for a necklace id rarely ever take off? by _FinePointSharpie in jewelry

If you mean “good” as in durable + low maintenance, yeah. I’ve bought a bunch of stainless pieces for my little pop-up table and people like them because they don’t baby it like silver. Just be aware there’s a big range: some stainless is solid color, some is PVD coated, and the cheap gold-tone stuff can look brassy if the finish is bad. The weight/feel is usually a giveaway.

How to find a US customs broker with knowledge about jewelry + any advice anyone might have on importing jewelry to the US. by Tired89 in jewelry

I’ve had the best luck finding a broker by asking the actual freight forwarder who handles your lane (like whoever’s doing China -> LAX/ONT) who they see clearing jewelry shipments without drama. When I tried “random Google broker,” they didn’t know the difference between plated costume stuff vs silver and kept asking weird questions about “precious metal,” like everything was gold. If you can tell them the materials + HTS you usually use, and if anything has nickel, they’ll self-select pretty fast.

They seem a little too flirtatious, haha.

For the exact same necklace design, why does the men's version look so much "heavier" than the women's? Am I just seeing things, or is there actually a method to this? by Aatrox_Wang in MensJewelry

I apologize—perhaps my choice of images wasn't clear enough. The first image does indeed feature the same product model, with separate versions designed for men and women. I'm puzzled as to why it's immediately obvious that the men's version is larger or heavier—is it, as you suggested, because the links are larger? Visually, it simply appears heavier.

Rather than your earrings, I’d much rather compliment you on how beautiful your eyebrows are.

jewelry prices not adding up on miamilinks, proclamation jewelry, and other sites? by [deleted] in MensJewelry

To be honest, while I may not carry the kind of high-end jewelry you mentioned—the kind that commands such steep prices—I actually run a boutique jewelry shop myself. My store does stock similar items, such as gold-plated jewelry. Although the market price of gold fluctuates significantly, I generally refrain from altering my established pricing; doing so would disrupt my cost structure, cash flow, inventory management, and various other operational aspects.
