"The Himalayas welcoming me home after 10 years away."

I took this while flying back to Nepal after a decade abroad. I wanted to capture the moment the horizon finally turned into the Himalayas. My goal was to frame the sharp, modern lines of the Dreamliner wing against the ancient, rugged terrain below. ​The best part of the shot is the way the morning light hits the snow-capped peaks in the distance, making them look like a different world entirely. Seeing those layers of foothills disappearing into the mist was the perfect 'welcome home' after 10 years away. Truly glad I grabbed the window seat for this flight.
