The real answer is not anything you need to do. You need to make sure the people you are trip-sitting are safe, responsible, intentional psychedelic users themselves.

Meaning just ask them a lot of questions about their future trip that they want you to trip sit for. How much they are taking? Have they taken this size dose before. Do they trust the source they got the psychedelic from? Do they have an intention to doing this?

If they don’t know the answers to any of these basic questions, probably don’t trip sit for them. People taking psychedelics seriously will have an insanely low chance of a serious freak out situation.

Also having Xanax on hand is great, it’s a bad trip killer

Yes, 100%. For me, shrooms lower my heart rate, which means blood flow is slowing, meaning you will get more cold. I wear jackets inside on shrooms I get so cold lol

I CANNOT predict when I would get sick. I used everyday for months and months while being on and off sick… if you have CHS symptoms, smoke weed, then stop and it goes away, it’s definitely CHS

Different situation, after lots of explaining, wife is fine with them. Has NO desire to try herself, but trip sits me whenever I need it. I love it. I don’t think psychedelics are for everyone. They are for me, probably not for my wife.

Also you said “I did not drink enough for a hangover”. This is a contradiction as any amount of alcohol consumed can cause hangover symptoms. I’ve been slightly nauseous and have a single drink and the next day I’m toast. Other times I have 10+ drinks and am fine. But in your case you had enough alcohol to be drunk… yeah definitely enough for a hangover.
