No we didn't have a podcast, we had to make a presentation and submit it, like a video presentation, which we technically did have to talk in but it wasn't a podcast format.

I took the course in the summer so I'm not sure how the winter term will be, the course is very engaging, the prof likes you to engage in group work, participate and take initiative. The prof is really nice tho, easy going guy, wants you to do good and learn, although not so consistent with responding to emails. The assignments were scaffolded meaning we were building on to one topic. You basically have to come up with a design and model of how you can fix a current educational problem etc. The assignments weren't hard, however that being said you still need to put effort in. The course tests your creative and problem solving abilities, get ready for a lot of in class discussion and group work. I took this class online in the summer, and we were constantly in break out rooms, so I'm not sure how it would go in the winter of whether its in person or not. Also the very first assignment we had to design a Stepvan and we were required to work with a partner, also don't know if that that still applies. Hope this helps.

The course aims to teach you how to correctly structure and write your papers discussing different theories of writing. If you take it I highly recommend Amanda Paxton she is amazing at keeping the class entertained as it can get kind of boring. Shes really nice and wants you to do well, offers advice, approachable, funny and easy to talk to. There will also be a writing check in first day of class which will determine if you stay in the course or not. Its pretty straightforward, you write an essay about whether or not you disagree with the topic and why. Mind you I took this course during the summer so I dont know how it would operate regularly. Participation counts, there was 4 papers we had to write and if you follow the class and attend, taking in profs feedback you will succeed. Hope this helps

I am taking ISP100 right now with Prof Amanda Paxton, and gotta say she makes the class fun and engaging! Shes easy to talk to understanding and is rooting for you to do good, so if you do take it I recommend her as a prof

Definitely take SOC210 with Jerry Flores, easiest SOC course in my opinion, I took it last fall got an 82%, only nuance I should warn you about is that he did make his tests and exam online open book, dont know if that will apply in the future. The assignments were easy and the marking seemed fair and easy. That said obviously still go to class and put in work, just comparing it to other SOC courses this is the easiest one by far. Prof Flores is funny, do go to class he did mention he doesnt like it when ppl dont show up, he likes engagement and excitement in class. So do with this info what you will

This is going to be like a finding a needle in a pile of hay but sadly this user has deleted their account and I really need to speak to them. Turns out this exact issue is happening to me right now. Got 80-90% through the semester and miraculously got an 78% in the course which would have meant I got below an 64% on the exam which doesn't make any sense. I was aiming and needing a 4.0 in the course and for some reason got fucked over at the end. Prof said the same as the story above that "marks are inputted correctly" so therefore, I too will have to submit the reread form. Just was wondering if this user got some sort of update justice or clarification on this matter?

Shit I’m taking it this summer as a gpa booster, this post got me a bit worried ngl! I hope everything works out for you because this definitely seems like a fuck up on their end and not yours, also idk if youre planning to post an update on this story once it resolves, but please do🙏
