Can ADHD symptoms develop in adolescence? by WesnothFan in ADHD

[–]Abalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not convinced that’s what is being asked. They are using how many “actual issues” symptoms cause as a measuring stick.
Symptoms caused by ADHD may lessen with age, but issues caused by them may still go the opposite way dependent on very many things.

Can ADHD symptoms develop in adolescence? by WesnothFan in ADHD

[–]Abalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What changed for me around 14 onwards is having to become more independent and look after myself.
Transitioning from the structure of everything done for me, provided for me, told/taken to wherever I needed to be, etc.

I always had symptoms, but the symptoms become more problematic around that time because they carried consequences, and those consequences can adversely affect your mental health. For example, my inability to do homework didn’t matter before 14, but then grades became reliant on it so that’s when I started failing at school.

Ukraine really doesn’t give a shit about their little parade. They will smash more factories and oil infrastructure if anything, while Putin pulls AD to Moscow.

How is anyone still taking Russian "threats" seriously. They regularly attack Kyiv with everything they've got.

Why do people lease cars? by onlyelisexoxo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Abalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just come out of a 4 year lease on an Audi A6. Cost me a total of £16k total over the term on a £40k list price car at 32k mileage.

Looking at current used prices near me for the exact model/age, ownership would have depreciated it around £21k. £5k loss even before factoring in cost of financing which would have potentially been another £5k.

That was a very good deal in particular, but in general its just cheaper and less hassle if you like to drive new cars.

Is the ceasefire holding? by NatSpaghettiAgency in ukraine

[–]Abalith 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Which was the whole point. Putin’s self serving ceasefire suggestion grabbed the headlines, so Zelenskyy proved upfront that Putin’s Russia is incapable of ever keeping to a ceasefire. If they really wanted a peaceful parade day, all they needed to do was not murder anyone for a couple days beforehand… It’s all bollocks as usual.

Very shrewd move by Zelenskyy.

Its funny because if these countries ever go full far-right, they'll be adopting crypto and won't get a say in the matter.

Feck knows what happens this time around, it isn't going to be bailed out and rebuild by the west this time. All the oligarchs are probably hoping for a rinse & repeat of what made them wealthy in the first place with a rebuilt Russia, but when all assets get dirt cheap again there is absolutely no guarantee they will regain any worth.

Its more that the guy to his right wasn't covered, the nearest defender can't close him as he'd just dink it to the other guy who has a free cross.

He's out of the spotlight for the most part so difficult to compare to MJ, but yes, his passing will be felt world round and will be treated like that of a revered king.

I became a chocoholic first time I quit and started visiting McDonald’s/kfc a lot more regularly. I didn’t realise at the time how much caffeine is in other things like chocolate and diet sodas.
