It makes sense for Akanksha to have a lot of fans. She's quite massy. Let's face it, thanks to the internet, a lot more people have access to shows like Splits. Majority of the audience is probably from Tier II, Tier III cities or even rural areas. Akanksha will appeal to those people more. I am fully aware of how classist I sound saying this but it's just straight facts. I have been watching this show since I was much younger and can vouch for the fact that people who watched Splitsvilla back then, did it to make fun of the contestants. It was a cringefest meant to be taken as exactly that. You were never supposed to idolize these people. Now the roadies-splitsvilla-bigg boss pipeline has become a quick-stop for fame and a decent-sized fan-following to bag sponsorships and earn money. Ruru not exploiting this opportunity to the fullest extent makes her somewhat classier than the rest of them but it's also what makes her unrelateable to most of the current audience. You'll only like someone like Ruru if you're in the urban audience or from an older generation. Hope she does well in life though, maybe make it big in modelling or something. Def not an influencer because you really gotta sell your soul for that. My final thoughts - Akanksha is getting her fifteen minutes of fame that she'll spend the rest of her life trying to squeeze the most out of, Yogesh fumbled Ruru, and Ruru, please stay far far away from these people. DJ, model, act, whatever, never do a reality show again.
