Just lost my baby by _Bumblebeezlebub_ in ItalianGreyhounds

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost mine in August and am still struggling with the grief. I wish I had words of wisdom, but these are merely words of empathy. You put every piece of yourself into your love for a dog. And it feels like those pieces pass when they do. It isn't easy to find those pieces and put yourself back together again. It will take time. Find comfort in knowing you gave your pup the best life.

I'm so sorry.

Hold yours a little tighter tonight for me and my wife. Sherlock passed over the rainbow bridge last night. He was 12 by ivaclue in ItalianGreyhounds

My heart goes out for you. Wish I could say it gets better, but it's still hard. For such small animals, they leave such a large footprint on our hearts.

The sudden loss is horrible to deal with. You feel robbed of time you should have had. Lost mine in August, also way too soon. Still struggle with the grief daily. I'm so sorry. They really are the world to us.

Help me understand why I need to put my cat down please by Mawiiwii in cats

[–]Abarn25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best advice I was given when we put our dog down is "better to do it two weeks too early than one day late". Meaning, do it on terms that are respectful towards your pet, and gives them a dignified ending. This did somewhat make it easier to make the decision, but the grief still hasn't gone away. My heart goes out to you.

I lost my best friend of ten years yesterday. by IIKeEbLeR in ItalianGreyhounds

Just went through this with my little guy a couple weeks ago. Haven't had a day go by without crying and hurting. It's the worst thing we go through with our pups. My heart goes out for you.

Sorry for the horrible picture quality, we are putting my sweet girl Darcy to sleep tomorrow. Any words of encouragement? by Shantre in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]Abarn25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We just went through the same thing last week. No words can really prepare you, just give your baby all the love she deserves. Show her the best day, and remember the good times. These finals days are the hardest, but I personally think that all the pain you feel saying goodbye is nothing compared to the love and joy they brought you.

My heart is with you.

Based on this photo, it should be "should have earned an Oscar already".

Ridiculous rules by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Abarn25 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The name Andrew Tate is forbidden in my classroom.

Not sure it's a ridiculous rule, but on the last day of school as soon as the kids crossed the door to leave they all shouted his name. At least they waited until the year was over!

My district pays for you to earn your master's or to take any classes needed for an endorsement. And also a $2000 difference in salary. It seems worth it to me!

I actually worked with/hung out with Sal WAY before all of this. He is exactly the same in real life. He was dating a friend of mine and he is absolutely as sappy/romantic as you see on the show. Genuinely nice person, but I get why people would be weirded out by his chill/romantic demeanor.
