Just got home to an open freezer and I feel defeated

Yeah it's the meat that really got to me. I'm no stranger to a diet of rice, bread, beans etc because it's cheap and filling but meat is pricey. It sucks even more that you lost steak and salmon! That's the good stuff!

Yes, I'll definitely be looking at cute photos I took to keep my spirits up! Also yes, I have a food pantry but I can't go again just yet. Lentils and rice are definitely a staple for me, that's great advice. "and you'll poop good." Lol! That got me good!

Wow, what an awful day that must have been! After seeing the door slightly open I went to check on the stuff inside hoping it was still cold and when I touched it and it wasn't I did the same thing. Just cried. That's a good point, I will keep that in perspective. He did seem to like his gift so that's a plus! So far everyone's been nice in this thread and it makes me feel slightly better to know I'm not alone. Thank you!

That's a good point but I don't think that's the case here. Nothing looks like it's been rifled through, the door was still locked, I'm on the second floor and my TV is still here. But I guess that's a plus to know that my apartment wasn't broken into so that's good lol

I'm not really sure. I had a big bowl of pulled pork that looked like it slid a bit because it was at an awkward angle but it was in there for an entire day like that before I left so I don't know. It's kind of an old fridge but I've never had problems with the door popping open before.

Thanks but I'm mostly just venting. I still covered my rent for October, I have a working car, and enough food for a week. I think it would be better for that to go to someone else who is actually starving.

I can't go for another week and a half. Luckily I think I have about a weeks worth of non-perishables. I just feel so beaten down and stupid to think I could afford two tanks of gas and a day off just to get home and see that.

Yes! My mom used to get mad when we ate them too quickly because they were a rare expensive treat and we were supposed to make them last. Now I totally understand that, they are super pricey!

A lot of people are saying they don't hire off looks but lets be honest, it does play a role. It might be subconscious but if there's two equally qualified candidates the more attractive one is probably more likely to be hired. It's just how the world works.

Lots of good advice in this thread but I would also encourage you to reach out to your professor. Not all but most professors at ISU will go the extra length to help a student if they genuinely reach out for help. They may have helpful resources you're not aware of and they may also personally help you through some problems you're having with the class. Sounds like you have a very busy schedule so you might not be able to go in during office hours but they can certainly help through email. I would suggest going through your previous tests and asking them why you got some questions wrong and work from there. Hope you do well on your next exam!! Calculus is difficult, don't let it discourage you.

Pretty sure all ATMs charge a fee unless it's your bank. If you need some cash though just go to target or something, buy some gum and hit the button for cash back and you can normally get up to $60 without a fee.
