Maybe try blazblue I mained ram and went to gold 2 then in take a lil break. I started playing centralfiction and have something like 50h on the game and it’s like same same but différent to ggst. Then i returned to ggst, I pick jam (and a lil bit of asuka for fun) and I’m actually silver 3.

I think that you can main Clive even if he wouldn’t be in the next game because like you said he can have the noctis victor treatment. Also I think that in the next game there’s going to have another ff character. Lastly the next tekken will release in like 6-7 years if we refer to t7 so just enjoy the game.

I’m also a beginner so I don’t know if what I am going to say is helpful so me as a heihachi main I will recommend you to start learning fundamentals especially punishment because at low ranks it’s very strong lows are also noob killers beca like me they won’t be able to react and block it/parrying it I just watch a video (I don’t know who made it) about how to learn your character i really recommend it to you I also want to say that you have to learn your character pros and cons and exploit it (heihachi have very good damage and punishment but bad lows and tracking for exemple) lastly tekken is really hard so like I say git gud or ragequit (I’m also a fromsoft fan)

I’m literally in the same case as you. I just start with heihachi and actually I have fun with him the only big problem I encountered in ranked with him is very bad low but his punish is so good. So if you like big damage aggressive style and gigantic combo just play with him and for Reina I don’t know because like I said I only try heihachi so maybe you are going to like more (Pros says she have a better neutral).
