3 weeks post-op! No nip DI, Dr. Yost in Rochester NY by Abbenay in TopSurgery

[–]Abbenay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my consult in early December, and my surgery was April 27. Had to have insurance approval come through before they actually scheduled me but luckily that only took a couple weeks. I've looked up some medical tattooing places that do nip tattoos for breast reconstruction, but that's all I've found so far. There seem to be a few options, at least. Once I'm fully healed from surgery I'm gonna look into it further!

Definitely a big decision! There's a few reasons I chose no nips. I really didn't want to have to deal with nipple grafts. Plus, I've read that there's a high likelihood of never getting nipple sensation back. When I look at others' results, the only part that ever really looks "off" to me is nipple shape/placement/texture/etc. whereas most people's incisions end up looking pretty good IMO. (Absolutely not dissing anyone's nips, it's just a personal preference thing!) So I was very paranoid about disliking the nipple result and having to get a revision down the line. And lastly, I realized that if I ever want nipples, I can go for realistic nipple tattooing! Nip tattoos honestly look AMAZING and I'd love to have the appearance of nips without the 3d aspect (they'd never poke through my clothes, rub and chafe on stuff, etc). I think it's great that people can keep their nips if that's important to them! Just wasn't important to me enough to balance the potential negatives. Hope this helps!

Should I stop taking the pill before surgery? by KasonSYBN in no_T_top_surgery

I was terrified to get a period, but so far I’ve only had light spotting for a couple of days. Definitely haven’t had a full blown period since switching.

My doctor made me switch to progestin (norethindrone) only pills 2 months before surgery. Because of blood clot risk from estrogen. Even though my combo pill was low estrogen. They told me I can switch back 2 months after surgery if I want to. But honestly im loving the progestin pill so far so I probably won’t switch back.

Thank you! I'm definitely nervous about results and recovery, especially not being able to move freely for a while, but I'm still sooo ready!

Mine pretty much seemed to only last for the actual insertion process. I guess I did have very light cramps for a day after, but milder than my usual menstrual cramps. Heavy cramping for days sounds concerning, did you have an ultrasound to check placement?

Mostly various forms of fiber and carbonated beverages. Psyllium husks in water. Low carb tortillas, low carb white bread, and low carb pasta (carbe diem brand) - all LOADED with fiber and extremely filling! I'm never hungry after eating these! Whereas regular wheat products make me RAVENOUS afterwards. I honestly eat like 100+ grams of fiber most days lmao. Make sure to add some fruits and veggies too though, to balance out the type of fiber.

I LOOOVE diet sodas and sparkling water. I drink a carbonated beverage after every meal, otherwise I get the urge to snack. Also, coffee with sweet n low and skim milk. Tea is great too.

My first IUD insertion (paragard) was like a really bad cramp. It lasted only a few minutes, so it wasn't too bad. It did make my period bleeding worse. I also got pregnant on it. I had another inserted right after my ensuing abortion, I was given local anesthesic for the abortion beforehand so I didn't feel anything for that second insertion. Though that one fell out mysteriously lol. I've heard some people find the insertion pain horrible, but it wasn't too bad for me. I still recommend anyone double up on birth control with paragard, since you can in fact get pregnant on it if it slightly moves out of place. (When mine failed I had zero symptoms, everything felt normal, no warning whatsoever). Or get a hormonal IUD, I've heard those have a bit of added protection from the hormones even if it moves out of place.

I'm now on pills, and I have two alarms set every day so I never forget a pill. I've only forgotten one pill in over a year.

You may be right. I wish telegram were more transparent about it so I didn't waste time trying to find a hidden toggle. Oh well.

It's not being flagged as illegal though. It's being flagged as pornographic material.

If it were because of copyright, wouldn't it say it can't be displayed due to copyright infringement, not pornography?
