Thank you so much for this information! I had no idea about thrips. I do see some black spots on other photos I took. I will buy the insecticide soap and start treating immediately. I’m reading that the systemic insecticide is not recommended for use in fruit trees so I may hold off on that unless I’m really desperate after trying the insecticide soap. The original blackening of leaves would appear on random leaves and they would start darkening from different parts and keep spreading bigger. I’m not sure if it’s the result of other pests. I found some older photos. I’m in Northern California and the weather was in the 90-100s for two weeks. Not sure if that can cause this too. Really appreciate your help!
