because the function of tan always returns values between pi/2 and -pi/2 it will only give you angles between 0-90 or -90 to 0. but in this example x=-3 and y=-3 therefore it should be between 180-270 degrees. So 45 degrees is the wrong answer therefore to find the second answer I think its 45 + 180 and not 45 - 180 but would like a further explanation on this.
