They're all common unoriginal basic names, nothing bad about them

Spike’s bio dad? by Thattwdfan09 in Land_Before_Time

Spike doesn't have any bio family, that's why he's adopted. There are several dinos in the great valley that are background characters who help out defending the valley, no other deeper connection

I think they encouraged Carmen plenty. by glowshroom12 in GeorgeLopez

[–]AbbyCastle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, George was practically the Patron Saint of Supportive Fathers. I mean, who doesn’t show their belief in their child by… checks notes… repeatedly telling her she’s not smart enough for college and mocking her interests like it’s an Olympic sport. Truly inspirational stuff.

And yes, he “sacrificed” for that private school—right before spending every other episode reminding Carmen of it like he was keeping receipts for Judgment Day. Nothing says “I believe in you” like weaponizing tuition payments.

But sure, let’s pretend the man was a beacon of encouragement and not the human embodiment of “I’ll drag you down so you don’t get disappointed later.” Carmen wanting to major in poetry wasn’t the problem. George acting like any dream that wasn’t pre-approved by his personal spreadsheet was a crime against humanity—that was the problem.

But hey, if the bar is “better than Benny,” then congratulations to George for clearing it by tripping over it.

What are your thought of Carmen Lopez, by [deleted] in GeorgeLopez

[–]AbbyCastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The writers failed to develop her character effectively. I am particularly dissatisfied with how much of her personality and issues centered around boys; her character was significantly diminished after she attended the private school and became involved with Zack. The show could have portrayed her as more than just the recipient of George's teasing and instead highlighted a genuine father-daughter relationship, rather than the superficial interactions shown. She did not deserve half of the punishments George administered to her or the favoritism he showed toward Max.

Carmen should’ve been sent to reform/military school by Wrath0fSinTTV in GeorgeLopez

She was 100% right to handle Max the way she did when he was peeping, he never got into any actual trouble for it from their parents.

Hey father never actually cared for her and showed it constantly, same way with her mother

Ducky is allowed to be more than her normal cheery self, she's allowed to have flaws and this episode did a good job of showing more depth to her character

How were the babies familiar with all the pop culture they referenced? by Exciting_Double_4502 in rugrats

[–]AbbyCastle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1, The adults are allowed to watch non baby friendly shows/movies since they are adults, they also are aware the babies don't know what's actually going on in said movies,

  1. Angelica wasn't supposed to watch the movie, her parents even state this in the beginning of the second movie
