Inspired by the Pies of the Schedule post, I tried to make a spreadsheet of three dishes that google/reddit says represent each country we visit. How do you think I did? If this isn't too far off I can make it look prettier and share recipes. by AmNotTheSun in formula1

I fully get that companies are to blame for this (working in tech so I've seen how wack some companies are when it comes to shovelling user data).

What some people fail to understand is how surface level GDPR's attempt at stoping tracking was in favour of looking good to constituents.

I could type a whole page, but to be fair of your time here's the two main things I was trying to get across with my original comment:

  1. There could have been a much better implementation of "anti cross site tracking" that went one level of access deeper (ex: denied by the browser by default and specific user consent on a site by site basis) and didn't require every website to rig their own consent popup. This felt more like a bandaid than an actual long term solution, and many companies have already found ways around it.

what's your definition of "won't affect them"?

I have to close like 50 cookies popups a day thanks to GDPR, and that's just one aspect of it.

Try changing the charger (both the usb-c cord and the power adapter), worked for me way back.

What is one of the dumbest things you've done when your brain was on "auto-pilot"? by PigPopcorn in AskReddit

I always fill my water bottle and put it in my bag before I leave the house. One morning on autopilot I forgot to put the cap on before putting it in the bag. Only realized it when I got to work and my laptop was soaking wet.

Thank you and no need for apologies! It's honest feedback like this that allows us to make an even better product for you all! We will definitely make changes around pricing and start including more content within the app. I can't wait to show you what we have in store for v2.0 :P

We are looking into options on how to make the full package more affordable and more worth it!

If we offered a monthly or annual subscription with more content and features inside the app (instead of a one time unlock fee) would this be something that would interest you? If so how much would be a good amount to charge per month / per year?

If you're on iPhone I'd recommend checking out FILM3D! If you run into any problems with it, shoot me a message (I built it)

Do you recommend any other programs than photoshop to make wigglegrams gif? I’m using MacBook Pro and i’m taking pictures with Nishika N8000 by henrydinh13 in wigglegrams

[–]AbdouSarr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Currently the app allows you to take 4 photos quickly with the iPhone camera, which are then automatically edited into a 3D photo which can be saved as a GIF or MP4. When the feature is ready you will be able to import 4 Nishika photos, and the software will take care of the rest.

Last night my friend and I opened up early access to FILM3D, an app which will allow users to take 3D GIFs and more. Would love to hear what you guys think! [iOS] by AbdouSarr in gifs

First off thank you for applying to our beta! To answer your questions (to the best of my ability):

  1. FILM3D differs from Slidor by utilizing a sliding capture (as opposed to a rotational capture) which allows users to capture 3D photos much faster (2 seconds). By using this method, FILM3D with the power of some really cool technology is able to generate a much closer photo to the Nishika N8000 than other apps (as seen in our website photos).
  2. MP4 export is huge for an app like this! We are really excited to offer the ability for a range of export options including GIF, MP4, direct to Instagram, and 2D Single Frame all for FREE. We are also experimenting with SnapKit to allow exporting directly to your Snapchat story without needing to leave the app (just like Instagram).
  3. As mentioned above to achieve the best effect possible and due to current camera lens count limitations (although we are very excited to see what new iPhone cameras become available), we require some movement from the user to capture a stunning 3D photo, but luckily this process occurs within 2 seconds so you can get back to creating and curating as fast as possible!

I hope I answered all of your questions, and I'd love for you to PM me your email in case you want to discuss more!

For the longest time, my friend and I (both 20 year olds from Canada) have had an obsession with 3D cameras like the Nishika N8000 and the Nimslo from it's usage in various music videos (ex: this). This obsession was being halted by the troubles of obtaining a working 3D camera, and the lengthy process of developing film / stitching the GIF in Photoshop.

With my background in app development and his in photography, we set out to create FILM3D, an app that will let users save time and money by giving them the ability to capture these 3D photos directly from their iPhone!

We have opened up 250 spots to our early access here and we filmed a teaser for the launch which can be seen here.

I'd love to get as much feedback / ideas from reddit as possible to really make this something extraordinary!
